I'm not frustrated with the players and their effort but Ime just throwing a winnable game away by not taking TOs at the end of the game and the end of OT is just bad coaching.
That wasn’t as bad as not going right at Siakam after his fifth foul.

That said, I’m proud of Ime and the bench guys. Ime has all 17 guys playing great defense. This team has a lot of heart.  Interesting game.

Lol @ folks outraged right now.

Our bench + a bad Marcus took a playoff team to the final bell, on the road on the second night of a back to back.
every right to be outraged.  doesn't matter who was available.  when a team has a chance to win, particularly in this kind of situation, they need to be given the best chance possible and the coaching decisions down the stretch and OT were lacking (to be kind).

credit to the bench for even being in this but the win was there for the taking with smarter play and smarter coaching

By all means, pound away in impotent rage because your vastly outmanned team came up just short after giving maximum effort for 53 minutes.

p--- and moan if the team mails it in.  Cheer them when they bust their hump.  If they come up short, disappointment is natural.  Outrage and scorn isn’t.

I don't disagree. But your comment to slamtheking lacked tact.

Trying to look at the big picture and the realistic perspective that Tatum and Brown sat out to tonight, going from 1st to 4th in one night really changes our prospective 1st round matchup in a very good way. Just saying.

Especially with Timelord out. Tough loss emotionally.  But not a bad loss strategically.

If you over look the fact that there was no strategy trying to losw you make an amazing point

In the postgame Scal and Perk sound convinced the C's brass/starters wanted them to lose tonight.

Scal: "They have conversations like that in the locker room, don't you doubt it."

Kornet should've got more run for the rebounding.

Shrug.  I guess I just disagree with the “right to be outraged”.  These are grown men.  We don’t own them.  If they do their best, I don’t think they owe us anything else.

That's a good insight from Scal. For all the jokes about him, he was on multiple 60 and 50 win teams - he has a good knowledge of winning locker-rooms

Completely, agree. Tp. The players did their part, the coach did not. How can Grant, your best shooter have 3 attempts from 3pt and  Hauser who is shooting 40+% from 3pt only have 2 attempts from deep. Then you have Smart and White combining for 19 shots from 3pt. How does that make any sense. Even Nesmith was making 3’s in this game. Let your shooters, shoot.
Quoting Nick from the now locked Ime thread:

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

And apparently they chose not to listen tonight. Love it.

Yup. This was good experience for the bench. Nesmith, Kornet, and Hauser in particular needed this.

Yeah, it is a good sign that he endorses that mentality. He must have confidence that the C's are doing this out of strategy and not fear.

Idk if its better waiting for a playoff seeding thread or maybe we have another thread, but I know Ime hinted the other day that "everyone is available to play in Toronto if healthy" I'm pretty sure that's not the case, for that reason I'm not sure we want to line up with the Raptors 1st round although we probably beat them in a series anyways.
