Is a 52 win season a very reachable goal at this point. Tough schedule, yeah, but Boston dominating even top notch playoff bound teams.

I predicted 50 wins in that other prediction thread but, wow, that could be low!!!
It's a pretty cool feeling seeing this team hit their stride this close to playoffs.

Joining the thread late. One comment: Hassan Whiteside is barely playing defense at all. Basically walking around. Think I have a better idea why Govert’s on/off numbers are so extreme

I was thinking the same thing. Whiteside has to be one of the worst defensive centers I’ve seen in a while.
I honestly didn’t even know he was still in the league. Somehow he got that big contract, and now is a scrub

So the heat are having their hands full with GS, if the heat lose and we win, we are only 1.5 game out of 1st.
Is it crazy to think we might end up as the top seed if we keep playing like this?  8 games left after tonight.

Yeah, for all the jockeying, the 1 seed is the best. I would want it even if Bklyn landed 8th (which they won’t, unless they really fall apart the rest of the way - in which case I’m more than happy to play them).

great, great first half.  would not have expected this kind of shooting display tonight

Gotta keep that foot on the pedal!
absolutely.  they can end this after 3 if they continue to play hard.  I expect the shooting to fall back to earth and for Utah to shoot a bit better but no reason they can't extend the lead this 3rd quarter

It's crazy but could happen!

Maybe I got a bit too excited.  I just looked at the remaining schedule, we still have games @ Toronto, @ Chicago, @ Milwaukee, @ Memphis.   Gaining 1 game and 1/2 on Miami and passing the Bucks might be tough...

But we do get the heat at home in there too.  We win that one it could help put us in a 3 or 4 way dogfight for 1st.

Even when he was "good" his crazy block numbers were just because he purely hunted them. Never been a team player

The line up is way different but the way this team is punishing their opponents is giving me 2008 feels. What an incredible turnaround.

So, it’s actually realistic to think about the possibility of HCA through the EC playoffs.  Unbelievable.

Great 1st half.  Utah caught fire last 3 minutes

At one point 2007-08 Celtics were 24-3. A win tonight and Celtics 23-4 in last 27.

TP for making that connection too.

If we keep playing like we have on this current tear, I don't think it matters what seed we end up, we are def a contender to make the finals if we are a 4 or if we are a 1.  We just need to keep the foot on the pedal and keep improving and getting more tuned up these last few games.
