Glad we picked Tatum instead of Markelle Fultz…

Yes. I wonder if Philly fans rehash the Fultz trade as much as we rehash the White trade.

Good win. I'd still like a longer rotation but winning is great!

Game ball goes to Derrick White.  11pts, 8ast, 3blk, 2stl... more of that please.

White really makes the guys he plays with better. He's a good fit.

Tatum and Stauskas with a combined 98 points the last two games.

C's 2-0 now in the Stauskas era

In a game where the team's best player scored 44 points on 24 shots in 38 minutes, you guys want to give the game ball to a guy that barely scored a point every 3 minutes.  It was nice to see White play well, but Boston won that game because of Tatum.

What I want to know is this - why hasn't Smart done this type of aggressive taking it to the rim his entire career? His offense would have been so much better all those years if he just did this more consistently. No idea what changed for him this year, other than the fact that he's the actual designated point guard now.

Because he is basically a dumb player. An attack dog full of competitiveness, an elite athlete, but lacking in basketball intelligence.
Brad Stevens refused to be tough with him. Maybe Stevens was afraid he would lose some of his natural aggressiveness if he restrained his bad habits - or maybe Stevens was just plain afraid of Marcus.

I don't think he's a dumb player.  That's too harsh IMO.  His defensive instincts are as good as anybody in the league, and he has very good court vision with the ball in his hands.  That doesn't happen if you're a stupid basketball player.

I do think he struggles to know his own limitations.  There was a point early in this season when I was about done with him because of his constant attempts to force his own offense at the expense of the team.  He's been a LOT better about that over the past couple months though.

Everything you said is correct - he has been better the past couple of months - after 7 years of repeating the same mistakes, of forcing offense that results in turnovers and awful shot selection. That's what I am referring too. I would love to see him keep improving and win a few titles and put his jersey in the rafters some day. That would be a great story.
