Congrats to Pop

With the win last night and in 370 less games, Pop has tied Don Nelson for the most wins from a coach ever.  He is actually just 16th in losses, though is about to pass Riley for 15th most losses ever.  His 5 titles are eclipsed only by Phil and Red.  Of the coaches with at least 10 seasons, Pop has the 4th best win percentage trailing only Phil, KC, and Red.  The only active coach with a better win percentage is Kerr in his 8 seasons.  The Spurs have 6 more home games consecutively so they will probably pick up a win along the way allowing Pop to pass Nelson for the all time lead at home.

They lost to Toronto last night.  Next game is Friday against Utah, then Saturday with Indiana and next week have Minnesota, Oklahoma City, and New Orleans all at home and no back-to-backs (after Indy).  So they should pick up the win to put him all alone sometime in the next week and a half and will do so with him in front of the home crowd.

Not sure I would have pegged the Jazz as the team they'd beat to secure the all time record for Pop, but congrats to the all time winningest coach in NBA history.
