Kyrie the 4th best player on the floor tonight.

That's being generous. Not even taking into consideration contracts, age, or personality, I would probably take Rob over Kyrie if forced to choose one.

After rewatching just how bad JB rolled that ankle, to see him play and play real well today while only missing one game is pretty incredible.

Not as incredible as Tatum has been in the fourth quarters the last two games, but still pretty incredible.

Dude found ways to contribute despite visibly having limited burst.  Defended well, set up teammates.  Solid game.

Yeah he was def limited, but somehow still had 3 steals, one really key one near the end, hits the big 3 to seal the game, and played pretty good def most of the game.  It really would have been better to have him sit one more game just based on how he moved, but he made it through without tweaking it again.  We probably don't win today without him though.

Nets defense is very poor imo. I think they lack the physicality needed to win a championship.

Maybe Simmons helps but i dunno.

I agree but they can figure that out next year. lol dont want them getting better.

I certainly don’t want to play the Nets in the first round of the playoffs. If they have all of their players, that’s a very talented and deep team. The only team in the league with more depth and talent is the Warriors, IMO.

Starting lineup of Irving, Curry, Durant, Simmons, Aldridge with Dragic, Drummond, Thomas and Brown off the bench... that’s going to be tough to beat. Simmons versatility and defense will make a huge difference and he doesn’t need to take many shots being on the floor with 4 shooters.

I’m thrilled with the win today, but it took a Herculean effort out of Tatum to beat a Nets team without Simmons and they only won by a few points. Need more out of JB and D-White come playoff time.

I think where the Celtics are in terms of playoff seeding that should be their best route. I rather they draw Chicago or Cleveland in the first-round. Let Milwaukee and 76ers destroy each other. Let Brooklyn play Miami. Hope Miami can stop BKN. One loss for them in Miami and that series is flipped.

I really don’t think they can. You need elite talent to win in the playoffs and the Heats best player is Jimmy Butler.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

The Celtics... * Had lost 11 straight games giving up 120 in regulation * Had lost 16 straight getting outrebounded by 8+ * Were 7-28 in their last 35 allowing 47% shooting. * Were 3-20 when failing to take a 10-point lead. All four of those things happened...a loss did not.

Could have mentioned the reffing too.

Nice to see some resiliency in the face of adversity.
Grande is right. This was not the way they’ve been beating teams lately. Not their ideal pace. Good to be able to win in different ways.

They have a plethora of elite defensive talent and they have a significant coaching advantage in that match-up. Wouldn't underestimate them.

Who cares about some role player on another team?

It definitely wasn’t fun watching him throw brick after brick during the playoffs vs Milwaukee. I’m glad he’s gone.

Remember the 2020 finals? I believe it will look a lot like that.

Maybe you play Simmons at center?  I dunno.  Drummond is useless and Aldridge can’t play extended minutes.
I think that’s exactly what they’ll do, especially in crunch time. Imagine Irving, Brown, Curry, Durant, and Simmons. The only potential issue with that lineup would be that it would feature two non-shooters. But I’m not sure it matters when you’ve got Durant and Irving. That lineup will be able to defend anyone except Embiid. That assumes that Simmons is healthy, physically and mentally.

I

Irving is totally delusional if he even thinks Boston fans like him that much .
