As long as they stay healthy, this team will be a true threat. I truly believe it.

What a turnaround from like 2 months ago.

Have a great rest of your day everyone!  ;D

Wilbon saying that Simmons would help slow down Tatum.

Don't buy it. He can guard him for spot minutes, but Simmons is still a big guy and don't think he can guard a perimeter player like Tatum full-time. I actually think they'd be better off playing Simmons in the same type of off the ball role as we have Timelord playing right now.
They've got a problem in that they seem to have too many guys afraid to shoot when the games are tight. Simmons won't help that situation. Kyrie and Durant, as good as they are can only accomplish so much going 1 v 1 when the other team's are playing playoff level defense against them.  Curry can certainly make shots, but you can account for him if you've got 2 others out there who you know can't hurt you.

If Simmons played today, that means Bruce Brown [essentially] wouldn't have. And Bruce Brown actually had a really nice game for them today. Simmons is a bigger name, but I'm not sure he would have been the difference maker in this one.

There are also all kinds of dynamics that can change when you add a ball-dominant player like Simmons; like, maybe KD wouldn't have had 37.

They are definitely a scary team, but Tatum and our team really put on a show.

Smart with 9 dimes. Little worried about the bench. They were not good...

Really we just need more from White.  He was disappointingly ineffective.

Pritchard was actually quite good - better than his box score IMO.  I liked a lot of what Theis did, though he needs to finish better and hit his FTs.  Grant missed his shots but he'll be fine.

Glad they can beat a team as good as Brooklyn when the bench isn’t performing.  No doubt they need more from DW.  I agree re: PP - thought he played well.

It's mildly shocking how well this team has suddenly come together.

I have to give credit to Ime. He's made me mad at times but there's a method to his madness.
Totally agree. I was really hard on Ime 1st half of the year but ive definitely changed my tune. I felt like his switching defense just let guys get away with playing lazy defense hoping the next man would pick up the slack. And offensively he was just letting guys chuck iso 3 after iso 3.

But now they play with such a different energy and effort on defense and offensively they attack and dont settle for long jumpers as much. All you can ask for is improvement and hes definitely shown a lot.
everyone got so sensitive after 9-11... thanks alot bin laden

Nets defense is very poor imo. I think they lack the physicality needed to win a championship.

Maybe Simmons helps but i dunno.

Even if that's true, what is Simmons contributing on the offensive end lol? He's like unplayable in the 4th quarter of playoff games. The last few seasons have shown that.

Agree.  Dragic more dangerous.

Stauskas and Tatum combined for 54 points today. C's now 1-0 in the Stauskas era

Yeah, I think the offensive fit is questionable at best. Theoretically, they can say that Simmons will be setting things up for Kyrie and KD, but how often did you actually see the ball in the hands of the other players today? Not often. And Curry looks invisible out there compared to Philly. And that's not even counting the major "hack-a-Simmons" strategy that he gives other teams down the stretch.

Think there's still lots of questions about that potential fit.

Maybe you play Simmons at center?  I dunno.  Drummond is useless and Aldridge can’t play extended minutes.
