Since Smart's return vs. the Wizards, the Celtics have averaged 311.9 passes per game, which is 4th in the NBA over that period, and 3rd on a per minute basis since some teams have had OT games to bump their totals.  That passing would also be good for 4th overall if it were a full-season number.  They are attempting 9.2% more passes over this period compared to the first three months of the season.

Hopefully this keeps up over the coming weeks.  For whatever reason, it seems like the team has finally responded to the pleas of coaches to pass more.  It remains to be seen if this will continue once competition improves and games tighten up, but it's a good sign that the right habits are finally being developed.

it's definitely an improvement.  would love to see if this continues when they play better teams through the rest of the season.

Against bad defensive teams. Need to wait and see how it holds up against stiffer competition.

I for one am not optimistic.

I'm starting to buy in.  Yes, they're doing it against mostly terrible teams, but they're beating those terrible teams by 25.  Those games are fun for the team, they ease pressure, and hopefully, they reinforce good habits.

I'd still like to see the roster filled out with some guys who pass more naturally, but the team seems to enjoy playing, which is probably the first time we can say this since the 2020 playoffs.

The stumbling start to the season really put me in a negative place about a team that I thought would be a top team in the east. It took them quite a while to round into shape. I hope they have turned a corner.  We will see how they look against the better teams in some of these games coming up.

I hope recent wins don't lull us into inaction.   With a eight man rotation we're one you know what from falling off the face of the earth in terms of standings.

Keep eyes open for trade opportunities but no desperation moves.

It is good to see the ball movement and well, Celtic Basketball.
