I can't see Indy doing it but I would.  find a decent PG in the offseason to add to Sabonis, TL and the J's.

Doesn't make sense in terms of this team.  Is he playing with Rob?  Leaves schroeder as the pg and then he's probably gone leaving just PP.

I was thinking more is there a chance at us scoring Sabonis if we were the only team that included THREE unprotected 1sts and swaps plus smart or other small pieces. If we paid that much could that ever be a winning bid? I’d guess it wouldn’t be what Indy is looking forward even scoring the most picks. What do you guys think?
I’d love trying to figure out a team left with the bare bones of the Jays/ Rob and Sabonis.  Any universe this can happen? I think those 4 together should have title aspirations.

I'm all aboard with this...

The thing about Sabonis is his efficiency. He doesn't require 23 shots a game to average his 17-18 ppg, he does it with a doable 11 or 12 shots, and he's not an ego maniac either. He scores well enough around the paint to open up the 3 point line for clean looks too.

It would take some spacing adjustments, but if the C's sign a decent F/A PG in the off season, yeah...IMO we're dangerous again.

I had proposed Smart, Rob, 1st for Sabonis a week or so ago, I still think that is the right type of trade for both teams as Indiana is going to need a better player than Langford and I don't think Sabonis and Rob are a great fit anyway.

This s more the reality of how a trade might go down. …at this time ^ …..I guess it depends on how you feel about each players future and fit with Jays .   For , now It’s a toss up for me .   Both have great talent and  IQ on court .  I think Robs slow start because of all the court time missed has him behind a season at least..But , if he remains healthy , I can see him closing the gap in the next 1-2 seasons . A reliable short turn around jumper and a few inside footwork moves could could propel him to next level while on a decent contract .

Need another poll option that states:

"Doesn't matter because Indy never would."

Of course I'd say yes but indy would say no.  The other issue would be having no PG on the roster besides PP.

where are we trading Horford and Rob Wiliams and what are we getting back?

I don't see Sabonis as a PF

Sabonis can play PF he's so dang smart, I see him as a huge upgrade over Horford and we need to keep Rob. He does what Sabonis does not.

Horford is 35 and his days are numbered as a Celtic.  It's two bigs going forward Rob, Sabonis and the prodigy Bol Bol

As we sift through all these imaginary trades, only a scant few would improve decision making and playmaking. Sabonis would do that, and give the team the flexibility to cast a wider net for point guards.

Why do you wanna trade Robert Williams? In a playoff game, think opponents would rather see Sabonis in a green uniform, or Williams?
they'd much rather see Williams as he is no where near as good as Sabonis

Are we keeping the two bigs lineup with Timelord and Sabonis in this scenario? Honestly I’m not as enamored with Sabonis as some. He’s a nice player but I prefer Timelord. I think he’s more dynamic and will and up as a top-tier center by the end of his contract if not sooner. I also think he comes back next season with a respectable 18-footer, he has the touch for it.

I would much prefer a playmaking guard or a 3-and-D PF.

Yeah, this is where I’m at. Granted, I’m not as big on Sabonis than others, but seems like an awkward fit with some of the rest of the roster.
