The guys over at TNT also spoke about this the other day. So if he does test the waters and we’re able to unload Al’s contract, could we possibly have a shot at Harden in free agency?

He'd be so great here.

I'd hate our team so much.

More and more rumours of Harden going to Philly in the summer with Ben Simmons heading the other way.

If Harden's intent on singing with the Sixers, why do they have to give up Simmons in return for him? They can send Simmons somewhere else for other assets and still clear cap space for Harden. The Nets don't have the leverage to demand Simmons if Harden explores free agency.

How are the Sixers going to clear enough cap space to take on Harden's huge salary?  They'd have to move Simmons and Harris while taking back little salary in order to do so.

Those two guys have value, they can easily find someone to take them on for little salary. Also, they each make over 33 million a year, they only have to move one of them. Moving Simmons to a rebuilding team with cap space for a pick or prospect is easy

The Sixers will have 148M on the books.  Moving one of Harris (36M) or Simmons (33M) is not nearly enough to clear cap space to sign Harden (44M) out right in free agency.

No but they have several smaller contracts that are easy to move. Creating the cap space is not difficult. There's certainly no need to move both Simmons and Harris. Moving Danny Green who's an expiring next season basically gets them there for example.

You and me both.  I detest that guy and his smug face.

BS doesn’t hire top five type players .  He can’t handle the pressure from any angle ,  that’s just making his job hard , he ll never have a new age top five diva type ….thus we are stuck in limbo .

Ya got to hand it to guys like Doc , you can’t be afraid  of the “ Lebron “ challenge of egos if you want a title

Harden & Embiid would be infuriating to try and defend.
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

Good point Shaq. You have to be Like Phil Jackson and embrace the top Egos in the world. This isn't Butler anymore Brad.

And Stevens had his best success in the NBA when he had a bunch of nobody's and Isaiah as the top acorer.
