AD/ 2027 first round pick and stiffs

for Jaylen/Marcus/Neismith

2027 first round pick in return is somewhat interesting.. but will LA ever be bad enough where that pick has value? They will constantly get stars because they are LA.

Yes. That would be phenomenal. A top 5 caliber player for Jaylen, Smart and a decent prospect. Easy call.

Anthony Davis and Jayson Tatum would be a phenomenal combo.

interesting.  wasn't that close to the supposed deal we'd have sent to NO if AD would have agreed to come here and resign with the team more or less?

Why would Davis agree to come here now? I don't believe he has a no trade but would he even report to Boston?

Hard pass. There are only a handful of players I’d trade Jaylen for, and AD ain’t of them, especially after his family members publicly badmouthed the Celtics organization. Not to mention him
Being one of - if not the most - injury prone star in the league.

I basically just proposed Smart for THT so I'm all over that.  Then we get AD and the Lakers 1st for Brown, yes absolutely.  Boston becomes a real title contender for the first time in over a decade and could remain that way for at least 5 years.  And still has all sorts of pieces to acquire something else.

There is no way the Lakers would ever consider that trade, which is why it will never happen, but that is a trade you have to do if you are Boston.  Every single time without hesitation.

Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

I don't know.  I'd need an assurance that AD actually wants to play here this time around.  Because last time, every indication was that he didn't.

His health concerns me, as does the fact that he appears to be tapering off from "superstar" to just "star".  Still, for the next three and a half years?  Probably worth it... again, with the caveat that he actually wants to play in Boston.

So do you keep Rob Williams or do you small and play AD at center.

C: Rob Williams
F: AD
F: Tatum

That is a fearsome defensive trio to build a team around.

C: AD
F: Tatum
F: (shooter)

That has the makings of an impossible to guard offense.

I say you keep Rob and use AD as a alternate option at center when you want to open the game up.

He’s washed. Hard pass.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

His (and his dad's) beef was with Ainge, so I don't know if it would be the same issue as before. Besides it's not like everything is going wonderfully in LAL.

As for this deal, yeah, of course. I don't even care if they send a 1st.

Lakers going to play Lebron at center? Or are they really going to count on Howard and Jordan?
