not a shock its what BS should be doing

WOJ on ESPN.com

“Marcus Smart, some of the young players on the roster, the second or third year guards and forwards, I think they are seeing what the value for those players is out there, Josh Richardson, Dennis Schroder. I think those are all players available in the marketplace,” Wojnarowski said. “They still want to find another playmaker, wing player to complement the two All-Star forwards.”

I'm a big Marcus Smart fan. He's my favorite player. I still love him.

But we're midway through another year of mediocre basketball where the change is going to have to be bigger than some fringe tweaks. I think breaking up the J's is a dumb idea at this stage and Rob Williams feels untouchable at this stage as well.

By process of elimination, if there is going to be a shakeup Smart is going to have to be involved.

If there was a way of getting a Pascal Siakam or a John Collins giving up picks and prospects, I'd love that. But I don't know who is actually available and moves the needle that can get got for picks and prospects alone.

Yes, my take as well.
Hate to see Marcus Smart go, but its time.
Celtics fan for life.

Time to let Marcus Smart go. As much as he is a hustler on D, his offense is lacking and frustrating.

I’d trade Marcus for an expiring contract and a second rounder.

In other words, Brad is doing his job.

Dumping Hermangomez to OKC who is below the salary floor and picking up a frontcourt replacement that keeps them there seems like the most likely move.

Isn't this an update by Woj? It's just his speculation right?

I hope under Brad we're still as tight lipped as we were under Ainge.

Feels nice to not be part of the drama, like the Spurs

That would be a steal for us

The Celtics have been investigating Smart’s trade value since what, 5 trade deadlines ago? Every draft as well?  I think Woj is just trolling with the Smart haters.

Nothing to see here - yet anyway. Brad's going to try to use Schroder to upgrade the roster for the long term. Smart or Richardson go into the deal if it's the right one. Out of those two, I hope Richardson stays.

Smart's past his due date there - and was when Brad re-signed him.  And this team BADLY needs a decent point guard.

I think Woj is just trolling with the Smart haters.

Woj is supposedly pretty driven by his own agenda and his analysis pretty bad, based on what I remember from Reddit, when not breaking pure hard facts.
