This is interesting cause Rondo talked about his friendship with Davis and Lebron bringing him back to LA and now they have I guess replaced him with Darren Collison?

Rondo is also really making his way around the league (much like IT). He has now played for
Boston
Dallas
Sacramento
New Orleans
Clippers
Hawks
Lakers
Chicago
and now Cleveland?

I would not be surprised if he retires after the season.

That would make Tony Massenburg very happy

Probably means Schröder won’t get traded there. Hopefully I’m wrong!

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
So much for trying to squeeze as much as we can out of Schroder. Still a while before the deadline, I suppose.

Edit: TP to Jiri for just beating me out

Regardless of what we think, I don't think the front office is intent on blowing this up right now. Maybe at the deadline if we are still in same position.

Chucky Brown, Joe Smith, Jim Jackson, and Ish Smith share the record. I bet Ish Smith breaks it. (it is 12)

Wish we had Ish  — he’d be the best PG on this team. And whether Stevens trades Schroeder has nothing to do with “blowing it up”. Cs would be absolutely foolish not to deal him I before the deadline.

Rondo became another IT4.

And I thought he would retire a Celtic...silly me.

I don’t think a Rondo deal forecloses Schröder.  I doubt that the Cavs are giving much for him at all — probably a protected 2nd at most — but they need someone now, and it’s an easy trade to make from a salary perspective since he’s at the minimum.  A Schröder deal is a little more complicated financially, and the Cavs are going to want to see where they’ll be in a month just as much as the Celtics are going to see where they are.  If the Cavs feel they want to make a playoff push, I have a feeling they’ll try to acquire another PG at the deadline.

The Lakers basically gave him away.

ESPN Sources: The Cavaliers have agreed to trade Denzel Valentine to the Lakers to acquire Rajon Rondo. The Lakers are expected to waive Valentine’s partially-guaranteed deal and create an open roster spot.

Good for Rondo. Finally he gets the chance to play with Kevin Love.

They want some of that playoff Rondo now that Rubio is finished for the season, huh?
