Speculation: ESPN Lillard to Boston Trade Idea that does not involve Jaylen

Appreciate this being passed along but I don't buy what ESPN is selling on this one.  No way we get Lillard without including Brown. 

Lillard is 31 and under contract for 4 seasons including 2021-22.  I don't think it is unreasonable to expect him to continue to play at a high level.  Higher than Brown for the next 3.5 seasons?  Who knows.  But this is not happening without Brown.

My guess it must require a Harden situation. As in he wants C's only and the C's willing to throw a ton of picks in. Including a third team to add something to Blazers as I don't think Blazers want Smart or Richardson.

As a conversation starter I think it’s fine.  Why not?  Puts out there that Cs would like Lillard and prefer not to include Jaylen.  Portland responds that they won’t entertain a discussion without Jaylen.  So they’ve established Boston wants Dame and Portland wants Jaylen and then let negotiation begin.
