Massive amounts of recency bias here regarding Jaylen's injury history.

After game 65 of last season, JB missed the last 7 games of last regular season, the play in, the 5 playoff games and 11 games of this season due to two different injuries.

But before that, Jaylen had played in 90% of all his games, regular season and playoffs combined. That simply is not a track record of a player always being injured. It's a better availability record than Smart, who has never been accused of always being injured.

Recency bias, fair. But also, it's been a couple of different things, so there's a fair worry there too.

So lil bit of both.

Hey Nick if you're worried; don't be. I'm still in the club man. Just sayin'. :')
I don't see it as a fair worry.

Hayward's leg injury? Fair worry. Kemba's knee? Fair worry. Timelord's bone marrow edema at 22 years of age? Fair worry.

A broken wrist and a pulled hamstring. Not a fair worry. If Jaylen's wrist was at the beginning of last season and his hamstring towards the end of this season, no one would be worried about his injury history being an issue. But because those injuries happened back to back, everyone wants to forget about his 90% availability before that and now start to claim he is an possible injury risk.

Sorry my friend. I just don't see the reason to worry about his long term availability once he gets back healthy.
He also has the perpetual knee tendinitis. Thats been a nagging thing since early last season. It’s a myriad of things with him and they are starting to add up.

Brown is absolutely injury prone.  he has missed the following games in his career

Regular season
4 (bench player his rookie year so less strain)
12
8
15 (72 game season)
14 (72 game season)
11 (so far this year in 24 games)

He has missed the following playoff games
1
1
0
0
5 (entire playoffs)

He always seems to come down with something.  No long term deteriorating type injuries, but it always seems like something and that is absolutely a concern, because your body generally doesn't get stronger as it gets more wear and injuries to it.
Playing 90% of his games before going down with his season ending injury last year say differently.

Smart has only played in 80% of his games. No one is calling Smart injury prone.

Horford is also below 90%. No injury prone claims out there about him.
Smart is absolutely injury prone.  Guy can't stay healthy.  Horford didn't start out injury prone, but has been the last several seasons (which isn't unusual for older guys - case in point Lebron James, now injury prone).

Now they aren't Rob Williams who is a whole other class of injury prone, but they are absolutely still injury prone.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

He seems injury prone to me. He's clearly an elite athlete but runs/moves somewhat rigidly out there IMHO. Maybe that contributes to some of his injuries. He's missed half the season so far. It would be nice to have him playing on a regular basis.

Time will tell.

I notice his posture doesn't really look like that of an elite 25 year old athlete.  He's kind of hunched forward like an elderly person when he walks.  I'm not saying this is significant but I do notice it.  He walks like Parish used to walk after spraining an ankle- kind of gingerly.

Funny, just put this in a different thread.

I'm still confused where his current injury (hamstring?) came from because he was healthy in the off season while rehabbing his wrist.  There was no mention of this injury until the season started.  Some one is hiding something.

as long as his heel is okay i don't see any problem.   ;D
Right, lol.  I came here b/c it sounded like he had healed, which would be great news.  Spelling matters.

Durability is a major issue for any professional athlete.  It should be thought of as an ability, like speed, hand-eye coordination, etc.  You can take care of you body and help, but at a core level, some people's bodies are more durable and some not so much.

I am starting to be a little concerned about Brown, but only a little.  It is too bad that after a really big step forward last season, he is kind of taking a smaller step back this season.  I still expect a long and successful career.
