Jarrett Allen is killing it for the Cavs averaging 17-11-2-1-1 on 72.2 TS%.

- Any chance he becomes available in the foreseeable future? Both Allen and Mobley are at their best when playing at C.
- Would you rather have Allen at 20 mil/year or Timelord at 12 mil/year?
- Smart + Juancho (filler) + pick(s) for Allen. Sound fair enough? I reckon Smart would be a great fit on the Cavs alongside Garland. Personally speaking, I'd consider it only if we trade Timelord/Horford. For instance, let's say we trade Timelord + Horford + pick for Siakam. The Raps are very thin at the C position. Ideally, they need a long-term solution cause they already got a promising young core. I bet they'd ask for Timelord in a trade for Siakam.

PG: Schroder
SG: Brown
SF: Tatum
PF: Siakam
C: Jarrett Allen

That Houston - Nets trade was interesting.  HOU did not want Jarrett Allen or Prince.  Instead they took Dante Exum and a Pick (MIL's) from CLE.  I found this surprising.  Jarrett Allen seemed like the type of young player a team like Houston would want.

I think Allen is a good young big and $20M is fair enough of a contract.  Not sure I would want to trade Smart for him though or if that would be enough to get it done.  I doubt that CLE is looking sell him off.

I can see acquiring Allen, but not at the expense of Williams. If we can roll with two All-Star SFs making big money, surely we can manage to have two quality centers at a combined price tag of $32M.

I don't get the fascination with Siakum. He's a lesser version of Tatum or Brown, for all intents and purposes, who has struggles in the playoffs.

Save our "assets" for a better deal.

Cleveland is not moving Allen.  There is a reason they signed him to a big long term contract.  They love him and he and Mobley together has been fantastic and dynamic for them.  Now obviously if they get blown away with an offer they'd move him, but Boston would never pay enough to pry Allen away.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

A while back, I wanted to trade Kylie Irving to the Nets (after listening to Irving’s nut job press conferences and hearing the rumors he’d leave us in free agency to go to Brooklyn, and I suppose, the fact that we played far better with Rozier on the court than with Irving) for Jarrett Allen, Joe Harris and cap filler - a deal Brooklyn probably makes to secure Irving.

To me, that would have been the time to get Allen. So I agree with others that we probably would be unable to get Irving unless it was part of a larger deal of nvolving much more than Smart - I think Cleveland would be very happy with Allen right now.
