Tatum is one of the most confounding players in the NBA this year. He has stretches where he forgets how to play basketball. Then others where he looks like a top five player.

Refs totally swung the tide before halftime. Just bad calls.

Marc Davis & Holtkamp put together on one crew guarantees a poorly officiated game.  I'm not too familiar with the other ref.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

100%

Most whimsical superstar ever. Makes me think he's just a Beal. Just a Westbrook. Just "the best player" on a bad roster.

Dunno how it's this close when we're shooting 22%.

My super terrible F-league team shoots better :]

As I said, people are enamoured with the concept of Jayson Tatum rather than what he is for an extended period of time. He's a purple patch merchant who's very good, but not the next great wing ala LeBron/Durant/Kawhi.
Jaylen Brown for All-NBA

I'm on board with refs purposefully not calling stuff for our Jays.

I don't know why though. Not sure if it's because of the complaining, because the league doesn't want the Celts to be a thing anymore, or whatever.

But it's just ... it happens a lot.

I used to think PP got a lot of foul calls that were kinda weak/bogus. With Tate, it's the other way around.

Eh, Brown is one of the most liked guys around the league and rarely cries to the refs, but he still doesn't get a lot of calls.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

That’s one of the few positives…as well as their defensive effort in the 2nd quarter. They need to get the refereeing out of their system and play through the adversity. All we need to do is shoot at least 40% and I think we will win  :police:

Jaylen only played 14 mins in the first half. Nice strategy.

That's kinda why I'm wondering what the deal is because ... maybe I should just look at some stats.

I'm curious how our two superstars score when it comes to percentage% of contested shots in the paint + fouls called.

Cuz I'm totally going offa the eye test here and I'm pretty sure I'm biased as heckfire :]

Started playing like crap once he went out in the 2nd quarter.
