Interesting that there's a thread on this one name, when other player names have been routinely butchered (in much worse ways) on this site over the years without leading to any threads (as far as I know).

"Haywood"

"Hortford"

I've had my first name butchered my entire life.  I just let it roll off my back.

Me too. I always feel bad correcting people.

My first name is Jason, and one summer I worked with an older guy who called me just about every "J" name in the book—except Jason. Most days, I was "Joseph" or "Jamie," LOL.
There are two kinds of people: those who say to God, 'Thy will be done,' and those to whom God says, 'All right, then, have it your way.'

You don't have a soul. You are a Soul. You have a body.

I just introduce myself with the English version of my name. It's nowhere near the Dutch pronunciation.

Even in the Netherlands, 80% gets it wrong, even though it's super simple. Mostly because I was born/raised in an area with a dialect, where we just pronounce it differently.

Name's Dirk btw ;)

First names are overrated. Foreman named all his boys George….lol.
