Romeo played an impactful role on defense and that one rebound over Allen was a classic. He quietly had me transfixed watching his movements and positioning.

TP, Rollie. Most underrated defender on the team, IMO. Maybe the most underrated player on the team, period. His shooting(47% from 3pt) has improved significantly, he doesn’t make Many mistakes when compared to the other young guys (Grant, Nesmith, Pritchard). Plays his role well and Ime should be giving him more minutes with Jaylen out. Needs to be getting more shots too considering how poorly this team shoots from outside.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Didn’t like the pick of him then, and still don’t like the pick of him
C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,
SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark
PG- Irving, Rozier, Larkin

Can you elaborate? Also who did you want them to draft instead. Just curious.

His defence is really solid. Great lateral mover, and seems to have got a real mind for the defensive schemes we run. Next step is to see him more involved on the offensive end
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

He needs to be more involved in the offense from deep. Take away one 3pt attempt from Smart, Schroder, Richardson and give it to Romeo.

Agreed. More takes will either prove his stroke to be improved or not.

His ability to attack closeouts and even create something with his dribble in a pinch is really valuable.

here is langord's shot chart for this season. while he is hitting on 47% of his three pointers, they are virtually all from the corners. this is not bad, but it also means he is probably 3rd or 4th offensive option, which is all right  for now.

what will be interesting will be how he handles being a target for defensive players and not an afterthought.

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

  • Peace it's a board. We all will never agree.
Romeo does seem to know where to be.  He barely missed a couple of his drive. It reminds me of drives Jaylen missed a couple years ago. He does not need more opportunities. I think he can be starter in the NBA for a few years maybe more.

Cant stay healthy, no offense..could had gotten Keldon Johnson ( who I wanted at the time), Gafford, Clarke, Bagley, Poole, Kevin Porter & Walker ( who
lot of ppl on here wanted at the time)

The health, I mean, yeah in hindsight but hard to blame Romeo or the team for that.  As for the players mentioned, some decent names but every team coulda always picked someone better in most cases.  K Johnson was picked 15 picks later so many teams passed him up. Clarke like 30 years old (hyperbole) and none of those guys were serious considerations for any team (likely) in Romeo's spot.

Anyway, this is Romeo's first real season given the injuries and he's doing fine.  He still has a chance to develop into a good player.

The one we should REALLY be regretting is Nesmith.  Bust written all over him.

Romeo is still a kid-how many players escape early injuries -not Marcus Smart.Justice Winslow Jabari Parker,
Joel Embid,  Ben Simmons, Julius Randle, Aaron Gordon,
Romeo stood his ground on Durant ,blocked James Harden, has the courage to take hard charges,Last season was a joke they didn't let players play physical and that has effected Jason Tatum Peyton Pritchard, Aaron Nesmith in 2021
Tatum might have bulked up and thrown off his 3 point shooting and the physicality with the double teams and game plans aimed at him

Robert Williams doesn't seem set a good screen like its too quick  like a touch slip and roll.   Maybe because he was foul prone in his first two years.Al has a nice base to his screen, Theis was master of the making a wall.

You have to embrace the contact on a good screen with both the screen recipient and defender.   By making it with the screen recipient, you ensure no space for the defender to weasel through.   In the old days you wanted to knock the heck out of the defender.   Too many guys in the modern NBA wants nothing to do with contact and set crappy screens.
