If Schroder continues this and gets SMOTY recognition, is there any way the team can offer him something to stay?

I would hate to see him show how great a fit he is here only to see this team not be able to retain him while paying Smart and Richardson a combined $30+ million a year.

I was wondering that too.
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

When Jayson wakes up in the 2nd half, it should be game over. What's left of this Cavs team isn't going to be able to make more than one decent run in the 2nd half. If Tatum gets hot for a 10 minute stretch....put a W in the column.

I really hope he gets it going in the second half. His constant complaining is falling on deaf ears and clearly he’s frustrated. His shot si still MIA. He needs to have one of those hot streaks to get over this slump.

Celtics FG 46.3%  3PT 3 for 12
Cavs  FG 30.8% 3PT 5 for 20

Benches
Celtics 39 minutes 13 points
Cavs  32 minutes 5 points

"Dennis show" goes back to back....he's got 19 pts
It looks like the Cavs haven't figured out the defensive part yet whereas the Celtics are getting after it  again. Hopefully they come out locked in and put these guys away.

I don't think realistically we can retain him unless he (somehow) gets no offers again. This is much more like the Schroder we saw in OKC
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

Same question. I read some posts here saying he’s practically a one year rental and there’s no way we can afford to keep him next year. Hope someone can shed light on this.

Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

Charge all day, but I've got the Semi Ojeleye feeling about this. Meaning that despite the perfect positioning, it will always be a block

Schroder basically gave up one of his prime years. He's 28 right now. There will be no discounts, I'm sure.
