Nice, chipping away.  Cut it to 5 or 6 by the 4th quarter and we're in good shape.

As long as they don’t start playing like bozos again

Smart fueling the game with his defense.

I wish our star players were consistent. Hard for any team to win games when your top two players are no shows.

I was just going to type something similar.  Both JT and JB seem to have wild swings in their play at times.  JB looked unstoppable on opening night.  Then tonight he won't even get to double figures.  JT has a LOT of swings like that too.  Both have way too many of these completely off 2-17 type games for how talented they are.  Maybe it is the def focus that both of them draw?  I dunno just grasping at straws why it seems to happen a lot.

Neither are natural at creating offense.  I feel we really need a true pass first point guard who quarterbacks the offense.  Like Rondo did.  Smart definitely can’t.  Schroeder is so so at it.

Schroeder is much better at it than Smart as a primary point guard. Smart is a good playmaker as a second or third playmaking player, but he's not cutting it as the primary point guard.

Haha Beal trying the sneaky "Smart-esque" pull down and flop move.  ;D

that’s the problem with our “stars.” their respective ceilings are astronomical but their day-to-day floors are abysmal.

the truly greats narrow their spectrum of play. they had games like today once or twice a season, but when they weren’t playing their best, they were still playing at a high level and found ways to contribute to winning. JT and JB swing wildly from elite to 12th man nightly.

Pretty much everything for Tatum tonight has been at the rim. Love to see it. Hopefully it gets his shot going. (As he hits a three!  ;D)

we just scored 14 points in about 2.1/2 minutes there at the end of the quarter.
lets bottle that for the 4th quarter, we know we will need it!

Good recovery by Schroder there to contest the final shot.  He's been remarkable this game
