Wow. Blowout city. Miami owns the Cs. This team is 8 seed at best. Going to be long season. Time to trade JB and JT before they bolt. Time to rebuild.

have to say this preseason has given me a much more positive outlook on this upcoming season.

Me too. This team is really deep. The only player that really does fit on this team is Kanter. He looks lost so far.

Only two players on the C’s with a positive +/-...Romeo and Jabari.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Pay no mind to the schmucks.

Although I like this team, I am not expecting any type of title challenge.

I’m still perplexed about the decision to give away our pick, just to dump Walker and bring back Horford. If we were one piece away I am 100% in agreement, but this Celtics team has lots of weaknesses, which could have been extremely more glaring if not for Stevens getting very lucky with the Schroder signing.

Just look at the Heat, they were very unfortunate with injuries and bad form during the 2016-17 season…and they turned that lottery pick into Bam Adebayo.

Romeo making a bid for more minutes is about it as far as anything to take away from this mess.

Yup, played some solid D and showed a really nice stroke from 3. I thought the C's held in there for the majority of the game but fell apart in the 4th quarter. I did think Tatum made more of an effort to get to the FT line too, which is an encouraging sign. Tatum needs to get to the line 7 or 8 times a game.

Tatum was a turnover machine in the first half. He played better in 2nd half. His plus minus was pretty bad. He has a ways to go to becoming the playmaker that Ime envisions.

Langford in four pre season games:

9 for 15 from three.

Where did that come from?

Nesmith + Langford + Pritchard

three point scoring off of bench...something this team hasn't had in quite some time.

Couple questions Ed Monix (and I'm giving you the benefit of hindsight which Brad did NOT have): Who was available in that slot to join a team with JT/JB/Kemba (b/c he would still be on the team) that would have made this a better team than they have now?  Would that guy take minutes away from Romeo or Nesmith, both of whom look to have taken another step this year?  How many young guys can you develop at once?

I know you are asking Ed-M but for me TM3 and Sengun were right there for us and probably Sengun starts over TL. They could also keep Smart on bench if drafted TM3. They both look like draft steals.

Kemba, Smart, JB, Tatum, Sengun
Kemba, JB, TM3, Tatum, TL

As a fan of watching better offensive basketball I’m really happy Al is in there . I think with Kyrie on the Nets ( even before anything covid) they can always implode, the Bucks losing PJ Tucker, and probably Celts optimistic view of internal improvement maybe they think they CAN challenge this year? I’m not sure. But that would include knowing you can get Schroeder too, right? Hmmm…
Will the Celts trade either one of both of these guys knowing they’re not here long , even if things are going really well but we still look like a 3 seed at best in the East? I have no idea what they may be thinking if that’s around where they end up hovering at the deadline.
