I can’t understand Dragic’s Brooklyn move.

They obviously have Irving only for away games but they just picked up Ben Simmons & Seth Curry, plus they still have Patty Mills.

True lol but there are plenty of contenders that need him and he could get regular minutes.

Phoenix Suns obviously just lost CP3, I believe that Milwaukee were interested in signing Dragic and surely Miami wants him to return as back up for Lowry.

Seem to remember that dragic hated the suns. He was part of their 3 point guard concept that left all the guys involved annoyed.

Sounds like Simmons will not be playing in Thursday’s game. What a shame...

If you were expecting to see Ben Simmons soon after the end of the All-Star Break, you should lower your expectations. ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne who has excellent sources in Simmons camp, says the newest Net isn’t likely to play for “weeks.” Here’s what she said on ESPN’s NBA Today Monday… “Ben Simmons, from what I’m told, is going to really ramp it up this week and see where he’s at at the end of the week, but he’s getting close. I don’t think it’s going to–it’s going to be more like weeks rather than months.” via Net Income @ NetsDaily

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Another name has jumped into the ring in an attempt to oust incumbent Rep. Ilhan Omar. Royce White, a former Gophers basketball player and current MMA athlete, launched his bid for a U.S. Congress seat Tuesday. –

“I’m a fifth-generation Minnesotan, and a product of the Twin Cities. But, first and foremost, I’m an American,” White says in a video he posted to Twitter Tuesday morning. “I’m running for Congress because our leaders have sold us out.” White goes on in the video to call Omar a “globalist,” and a “puppet for the establishment.” The video also includes swipes at “Big Pharma, Big Tech and the corporate elites.” – via CBS Minnesota @ CBS Minnesota

Now this lends more credence he is actually fighting a mental illness. I retract my former criticism, as I said I would, if he showed the actions of someone actually struggling with mental illness.

As I said then, there was no way he could snap his fingers and be ready to play if he had mental health issues. Changes of scenery don't suddenly change that anxiety and it appears to be playing out here.

I am sorry for misjudging you Ben. Please, get the help you need and return when you are truly healthy enough to return.

Dennis Schroder is on course to finish the season in Houston, league sources say.

Neither the Rockets nor Schroder favor a buyout, sources say, with a March 1 deadline looming for any buyout candidate leaguewide to be released to ensure playoff eligibility with his next team.

Is he "ramping up" due to mental health or because he hasn't played in 8 months and needs to get into game shape? I read it as the latter.

Interesting.  I am sure that his agent tested the waters with some teams to gauge interest.  There must not have been much.  I guess that at least in Houston he would start?  And is that better for his value in FA market than taking a back up role with one of contending teams?  Probably I guess.

It also might preserve a sign and trade if a team didn’t want to use its MLE, or Schroder didn’t want to take it.

Could be a sign-and-trade thing, although that’s a 3 year deal with year 1 at $7.2 million, which isn’t much better, and arguably worse, than the MLE.

You keep saying he has a mental health illness, but that has never been what he or his team has said.  He is ramping up because he hasn't been playing or even practicing since the Finals ended.

Goes from failed NBA player due to a plethora of issues to populist political candidate. Weird.
