Rather than the logo, my larger pet peeve is that they should always & only wear the white jerseys at home.

Alas, with commercialism the way it is now, we're never going back to that.

My favorite jerseys are black and green.  The green pops better against the black than the white.
I dug this era of Celtics uniforms.

Would love to add a black with green trim to that, and bring them back as our uni rotation.

I actually own that exact Garnett green and gold St Patty's Day jersey. It sits on a hanger in my closet. If I could ever get KG to sign it I would frame it and hang it on my wall of fame.

My favorite was the Red Auerback Era.

I would be very happy with the white at home w/ CELTICS on the front and green on the road w/ BOSTON on the front.

The ONLY alternative I would prefer to be used is the green & gold St. Patrick's uniforms.

Those Nike-concocted "city version" uniforms are the most hideous things I've ever seen in my life.

The shoes, as many have mentioned, need to be remedied as well.

Finally - maybe I misunderstood Ed's comments, but did he actually suggest making Lucky a black guy in order to make black fans happy, to be more stylish in the modern NBA and to make the logo more effective as a marketing tool ?

Same thoughts! I really like the black uni’s of today and the KG-era dark green with black trim in that pic you shared. I thought the gold trim one was just ok.

I’m not really a fan of today’s white ones that look like a banner nor the green-on-neon green ones. I mean, it might grow on me but let’s see.

As an aside, how would people feel about like a clover-themed jersey? Like instead of saying Boston or Celtics, it’ll feature a clover on the front. I’m no artist so I don’t have any more words to describe it, but that would be cool as an alternate I think.

The Celtics jersey has been at or near the top of best looking uniforms in sports ratings I've seen over the years forever now.
Yes, it's simple (and beautiful).  These days it seems, the trend for most things is to be louder, brighter, more outrageous, more colorful, more complex and different - always different. Simple and traditional are on the decline in so many things. Thankfully, many great sports teams, pro and college, have stuck to their classic, original designs. I hope the Celtics remain among them.

The white circle nicely accentuates the logo from the hardwood.  If you removed it, you'd probably have to enlarge the logo, but I think our logo is cool because it's uniquely detailed.

Agree with tenn regarding the unis - the simpler the better.

I don't understand the identity politics take.  The logo is a cartoon that represents an awesome NBA history, especially for our base.

I’m a bit confused, because Jvalin posted the “classic original” Celtics design earlier, and it’s a very different image to Lucky.

I've heard the question asked...Why shouldn't Lucky be a man of color?
