Here  Is host entertaining scenario. Philadelphia starts out 15 wins and 22 losses and 1st place in the East and then suddenly Embiid blows out his Acl.

Now all of Philly is clamoring for Ben to save the day. Experts say that now Ben can finally be the man and play how he wants to play and move up his trade stock.

Clutch sports says. Nope! We are done in Philly.

Post script.  Word is Morey would not budge on adding a player with Simmons to get Harden.  Word is he's really kicking himself for being hard headed.

Feel free to add a scenario with the most potential drama in Philly this year.

They trade simmons for brodgon and Warren and go 47-35 and lose in the first round to the hawks (Embid gets injured again during the series). Posters on the board (we know who they are) still argue the process was a resounding success.

Simmons makes all nba first team for the pacers and Fultz makes the all star team. Okafor has a nice season in China.

The 76ers drag their feet well into the regular season to the point Embiid gets fed up and demands a trade.

I've got a lot of ideas on this one:

1. Embiid deals with nagging injuries all season that lands the 76ers at 42 wins.
2. Philly trades Simmons for a poo poo platter (Bagley, Haliburton, and filler)
3. Horford is completely rejuvenated and looks like an all-star calibre big.
4. The 55 win Celtics sweep the 76ers in round 1.
5. Doc retires and Embiid demands a trade.
6. Philly trades Embiid to Orlando for Fultz, Issacs, and 5 picks.

Just wanna see Simmons sit out and pretend he's on the high ground.

I'd like to see a 76er offense built around Simmons.

Most entertaining scenario would be to see that franchise continue to flounder for another few decades or even longer.

Sign me up for any and all.  Especially #4 regardless of the rest!

1. simmons sits out the season leaving Philly to trade him for pennies on the dollar.
2. Embiid misses more games than usual, at least half, leaving them bad enough to miss the playoffs completely
3. their record isn't bad enough to be a high lottery pick in the draft but at the tale end of the lottery OR  the simmons situation degraded to the point where they had to include their first rounder this year to move him just to get some spare parts to put on the court.

I'm not entertained by another team's dysfunction, especially not by devastating injuries.

NBA basketball is the greatest sport in the world, with the greatest athletes. The miracles that they perform on the slowest night in the Association are comparable to virtuosity and beauty of great musicians.

The soap operas that go on (mostly in the minds of fans, truth be told) don't hold any interest for me.
'I was proud of Marcus Smart. He did a great job of keeping us together. He might not get credit for this game, but the pace that he played at, and his playcalling, some of the plays that he called were great. We obviously have to rely on him, so I’m definitely looking forward to Marcus leading this team in that role.' - Jaylen Brown, January 2021

Embiid I think is the huge story not being talked about YET. For all Ben’s warts they were a bounce away from beating the world champs when they had much better talent like J.Butler. So I never believed the narrative of him and Embiid not being able to work. I’d say it’s already proven it can.
Simmons is a much better player than his choke job vs Atlanta, whatever he becomes.
I can’t imagine the return making them as equal of a team. I think Joel will want out very soon. I don’t expect him on Philly next year.

Yeah, do we really want to talk about an Embid ACL?  Not me, our luck it would happen to one of the J's instead.  The C's logo and all are about Lucky, yet this team is full of bad luck.  No jinxing!  No talk of other players ACL's!
