Extremely slow day at work and I thought how if there were still only 23 teams how much flooded with talent the nba would be and the incredible teams of there’d be.
A redraft would be fun to imagine but if you just took the rosters of the Heat, Magic, Hornets, TWolves, Pelicans, Raptors and Grizzlies  and transferred them on to the bottom 7 nba teams… move some players around it would be incredible.
I think this is actually the biggest factor in player movement. If you’re a star and your team isn’t good enough you’re immediately in a 7 team lottery. There are a ton of factors but I don’t think this one is ever really mentioned. Players would still bolt. I just think it’s be a lot less.
Oh yeah, whose your #1 pick from those “ expansion teams “ if you’re the Rockets? ? I didn’t want to use the Thunder because they have like 500 picks.

KAT over Zion?

Btw, I fully expect the league to expand to 32 teams in the not-too-distant future. My preferences would be Seattle and Mexico City, but that's just me.

Bring back the Sonics!

Feels like it’s got to be Seattle and Vegas, with Memphis and either New Orleans or Minny moving to the East.

I don't think they can play more than a 1 off here and there in Mexico.  It is just a different animal.

Clearly Seattle would be a potential team.  There are a bunch of other candidates, but I would lean towards Louisville as the 32nd.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

I would definitely take KAT over Zion.  He’s less exciting, but I think he’d be better to build around.

I'm not sure KAT would be in my top 10.  Way too one dimensional.  With JA, Trae, Zion, JT,, Luca and others out there I'm not sure why KAT.  His play has not improved and he has won nothing.

Did you read the premise of the thread?

I might be tempted for Bam in this.  Kat’s offense is clearly superior, but I think Bam’s defense is even more superior in the opposite direction.  Also, Bam keeps getting better, whereas Kat seems to have stagnated, so even if Kat is better today, give it a year or so and we might have a different answer.

I'm with you, Zion first in mine and I've said before, KAT is the only guy I trade Brown for.
