  • Peace it's a board. We all will never agree.
We need them both but Romeo is the better player. He is gift. How about Grant praise. It awesome.
Nesmith will find his stroke soon He is to good of a shooter. But I am happy with all our young guys!

I have to admit Romeo has surprised me so far.  His ball handling still looks horrible, but his shooting has been much better then expected.

If he can continue to knock down threes with some consistency while also playing defence at a high level, then he may prove more useful then I expected.  I'm cautiously optimistic, lets hope it's not just a couple of fluke games.

There's something they see in Nesmith that they don't like, I don't really know what it is...because first he struggled to get into the rotation with Brad, now with Ime. First I thought it was the fact that defensively he sometimes gets lost and forces late closeouts, but I thought he fixed that late into last season, and you could always count on him to bring some intensity and hustle. Now he can't get off the bench again.
Any odd typos are because I suck at typing on an iPhone :D

There aren't enough minutes to go around especially with Tatum playing so much at SF.  And with Langford playing so well, he is getting the minutes available.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

He can have Richardson’s minutes. I’m not seeing anything special from him.

Nesmith now 0-10 on the season. 0-9 from 3.

He broke Tatum's record for most 3 pointers made without missing 2 in a row in practice right before the season starter. He should recover from this bad shooting and become a weapon but there are a lot of wings on this team and if he doesn't figure it out soon, he's just not going to get the opportunity to figure it out later.

I think he gets the "yips" during games, some guys do.  You can be the best shooter in the world and it does not matter if you can't do it in a game...

To be fair, this is exactly what happened to Avery B in his first year or so.  Either way, as you say, only what happens in the game counts.

Getting the yips is extremely rare in basketball, especially in the pros. Baseball and golf are more known for it. In the last 30 years the only player in the NBA that I can remember having a case of the yips is Markelle Fultz.

It's most likely he is struggling with an aspect of the system and severely pressing when given his very small amount of playing time.

Thankfully, this year, there will be tons of practice time to work things out. Look at Grant, for instance. Started his career 0 for 25 and has been a pretty great three point shooter since then.

The season is very young and so is Nesmith. I am confident he will be making his threes and be a positive addition before we know it. He showed late last year over an extended stretch that he is definitely capable of it.

Only a couple games into the regular season, but their arrows are pointing in opposite directions.  Nesmith is 0-10 from the field and hasn’t scored a point, while Romeo has shot very (albeit unsustainably) well, with an eFG% of .727, and has definitively been higher in the rotation than Nesmith.

Of course, Romeo lasted only two games before getting hurt, but he looks like he’s made the Year 3 leap, while Nesmith seems to be heading for the dreaded sophomore slump.

I’m surprised by Nesmith’s shooting to start the year.  He looked pretty solid in preseason.

I’m thrilled with Romeo’s play in the preseason and in the first couple of games.  If he keeps hitting threes, he’s a valuable player.
Romeo is adapting to the bench role much better than Nesmith has this season. If he can stay healthy and keep hitting the threes that he has been hitting he's an asset

I need to bring this back because man, nesmith worse then even I thought.  He can’t even play in garbage time without being pulled.

The kid lost his confidence. If you ain't playing him, might as well send him to G-league to get him going

Yeah.  But he might have to go straight to china with the way he looks.  Just so bad.
