Everyone is slamming Edward’s. Nesmith has been worse

Edwards has 15 pts on 14 shots. 

and his shooting is supposedly a strength.

Nesmith has 6 turnovers. Worse

Yeah, that’s bad too, but Nesmith isn’t a ball handler. Edwards is supposed to be a shooter and I think his overall shooting percentage in the summer league is around 30%. He’s awful.

But seriously, Sac playing very physical defense. In the NBA last year would have been a bunch of whistles. Celtics weren't ready. Trevion Mitchell is an elite defender and locked up PP pretty well, plus he was double teamed a lot of the time, forcing Carson to have to step up.

Aside from Bruno, Romeo and Yam provided tenacity this team needed and we're missing it badly. Good thing this is just the summer league because most of the guys on this team are not ready for real NBA minutes.

I see where all shooting % are pretty close from both sides, but the Kings have 19 offensive rebounds !!!! Celts have 4.

Here's where the game was won and lost.

Turnovers - Celtics 27, Kings 7

You cannot win a game when you turn the ball over that much. 22 turnovers from the starters, and most of them were lazy turnovers.

Also noticed these players need a lot more work on PnR defense - the Kings got a lot of simple layups just breezing by the primary defender when they were shepherded to the baseline and either Fernando didn't switch or there was no help defense.

This is a good reality check for them though.

They showed a lot more hustle trying to get boards vs. the Cs. In one instance Woodard got a board in the middle of 4 Celtics players, including Fernando, who were just watching the ball.
