Nesmith running point and doing it well. Went by his man pretty easily off the dribble. He has a sneaky good passing ability. Nothing flashy, just good strong passes at the right time to the right man. It funny how many guys can't do that.

The game is not taught that way as much anymore.
It's all about AAU glory and getting the rep and the offers and many of these AAU coaches are more promoters than teachers.
Not that they would know what to teach anyway if they were told to.
The beautiful game that used to be basketball is lost on many of these players.
I like Nesmith as well.  Plus he doesn't jump around like he just won the title when he hits a tough shot.

The Four Celtic Lieutenants:
Cousy - Havlicek - McHale - Pierce

Romeo Langford (DNP-CD) vs Orlando. Boston sulmmer league coach Joe Mazzulla said there was a plan for Langford to not play vs the Magic, but he will suit up on Saturday.

This commentator needs to relax

I hate the commentator so much.

I find her very entertaining and fun.
I can't really stand it. Outright barracking for us and trying to act as if this near 40 point blowout is exciting.

Kind of her job, no?
Not really, given I've never heard a commentator behave like this before besides the dreadful NBATV guys

They were both awful. Beth Mowins has the annoying habit peculiar to some women broadcasters - the need to yell into the mic instead of using a normal tone, Doris Burke being the all-time worst abrasive voice. I had the game on mute.

I actually thought Doris Burke was doing the game. The other girl is a retired WNBA player and a part owner of the Atlanta Dream.

I hope Romeo was watching how hard Juhann Begarin played tonight.

One overlooked stat is Juhann’s 8 assists. Yes it’s summer league but it’s refreshing to see a guy trying to make the team, and yet be a willing passer. I think we might have a diamond in the rough here. Him And Yam are two exciting prospects to look forward to for sure.

He was good tonight. Often when PP or Nesmith would drive, they'd kick it to him and he'd quickly move it into the corner as the defence scrambled. Made the right reads

Hauseman is already locked up

They should keep Bruno.  Cut Dunn(if no trade option). Keep Parker

Yes! Hopefully this style of play continues even with JT and JB on the floor. That would be Ime’s biggest challenge.

Begarin has 7 assists.

He knows how to play.
Someone did a fantastic job coaching him up to this point. You can tell.
Came from the same youth program as Tony Parker and Boris Diaw IIRC. It shows.

You have a real PG but ball hog Tatum insisted on bringing up the ball. Total BS.
Didn't realise Tatum was the coach last season

Your coach was weak BS. Read the post.
You say "Tatum insisted on bringing up the ball." Any proof?

Give it a rest ….we all saw what happened last season..how wouldn’t even pass to Pritchard. Some even argued he was been trained to handle the ball.
Unless you have some audio, video or written quote proving your claim that Tatum insisted on taking the ball up and did so against his coach's wishes aand got away with it because the coach is a mentally weak coach.....then you're just making crap up and spitting it out every chance you get.

Thank god somebody said it.

Im not entirely sure what you guys are complaining about Tatum. He had a huge improvement with his playmaking this past season compared to the previous year. Also this isnt limited to Tatum, lots of other stars do this.

Isn't Dunn's salary guaranteed?

Bahahahahahaha, mommy issues much? Nah seriously, when you have a dead quiet gym, it does make the contrast more noticable.

I think we can all agree that Tatum should not bring the ball up next season. It delayed our sets and hurt the ball movement.
I agree. Where I disagree is that Tatum insisted on doing it against his coach's wishes. If Tatum was doing something last year it's because he was told to do it.

Just look at last year's 2nd game for some proof. End of game, Stevens coaching was to just get the ball to Jayson and let him create a shot. Stevens admitted this post game. So, though it looked like Tatum was being selfish and being lazy, taking a step back three without even looking to pass, that is what the coach said to do during the timeout.

New coach. New system. New approach. We will see who brings the ball up, not that it matters. Last year this team brought the ball up slowly and slowly got into their sets. Tatum wasn't the only one. The issue isn't who brings up the ball, it's about how it is done.

If the ball is dribbled up quickly or passed up court quickly, and the team starts their sets with more time on the clock, I could not care less who brings up the ball. Just bring it up faster and get your plays going faster

Concur.
