Nothing much to lose. Let's see what he can do in Summer League. I wonder if Begarin will participate too.

No, I believe that Stevens has already stated Begarin will stay in France.

I’m not a huge fan of Hauser. He is too slow to guard wings, not big enough to guard centres, he’s not a rim protector and not an elite rebounder or passer.

I feel guys like him are extinct in the NBA

I’d love to be wrong but I can’t see it.

Robinson is much more athletic and fluid of an athlete in comparison. Duncan’s game is predicted on lots of off-ball movement and being great at setting his feet for 3 on a dime.

Hauser reminds me more of a TJ Leaf or a less athletic David Lee. He’s very stiff in his waist and looks slow defensively, where as Robinson is great at changing direction and his length makes him a plus defender. Hauser does seem to have very solid mid range game, but even those shots may get blocked by bigger, longer more athletic nba players.

I’m sure Celtics know better then me so there’s obviously potential there and maybe he fits with what Udoka wants to run. Being a two way guy, there isn’t much to lose on Celtics end anyway.

Nice 2-way addition bring size and shooting to the roster, maybe more game ready then a lot of rookies.

I don’t know enough about Hauser, but I watched about 90% of Robinson’s college games.  He worked hard on his strength and conditioning, and while it improved throughout his college career, it is also a couple levels better today than it was when he left college.  His defense was bad enough that he got removed from the starting lineup for a freshman Isaiah Livers as a senior.  Not impossible for that athleticism to get to a playable level if he keeps working at it.

Does this mean we renounced our rights to either Tacko or Waters?

Both are RFAs, so we can technically extend a QO to either but that doesn't seem to be the plan, and I'm 95% sure that QO would be for a full NBA deal at the 1-year minimum.  A few weeks ago the news was that Tacko was still working out with Boston and would like to return, but Waters was working away from the team and was looking for a new opportunity.

I'm pretty sure Waters has moved on, per Jared Weiss, but behind a paywall Athletic article.

Tremont Waters, who is on a two-way deal, has been working out away from the organization back home in Connecticut and is looking for more of an opportunity to break into a rotation elsewhere in the NBA this upcoming season, per sources.

Yes! Finally a shooter who is can shoot OVER people. Good get off the bench. Should be able to carve out a spot though someone needs to go.

This is the type of player you give a 2-way contract to. Not a 7’6” Center that is incredibly slow, not a 5’11” guard. Good to see. Hoping that they let Tacko go and sign someone else. They gave him a shot and he can make millions overseas.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.
