Howard, Ariza, and Ellington all signed vet minimum contracts with Lakers.  No world beaters, but all are still rotation level players. I expect more to follow.

They got Bazemore too.

The Lakers might have one of the oldest rotations in league history.  Good luck going the 100 games it takes to win a title.

9 players on their roster.  7 are at least 32 years old.  Anthony Davis the youngest at 28.
Some serious mileage on that roster. Given their experience with injuries and players breaking down last season, I'd be pretty scared as a Laker fan. Especially given they don't have many picks coming up.
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

I think Ellington is a good signing. Ariza has looked cooked for some time. Howard is clearly in decline and didn’t fit in with the 76ers very well. Hard to know what to make of bazemore as he has been all over the place. Losing Caruso was a pretty big blow. This team reminds me of the Barkley Hakeem rockets more than anything else. Happy to see them using roster spots on aincent players.

I prefer comparing them to the Nash-Howard Lakers ;D

Drummond signed for the vet minimum. It was in Philly so I'm guessing the Lakers just didn't want him back
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

Don't see Dwight starting there. I think they're rolling with a "small" unit with AD at center and Lebron at PF. It's been reported that both those guys agreed to change positions when pitching Westbrook. And they still have the tax MLE available, they can grab another impact guy.
2021 Houston Rockets

Okay, so

G: Westbrook
G: Bazemore, Ellington, Monk
F: LeBron
F: Melo, Ariza
C: AD, Dwight

Still not enough shooting. Ariza was terrible for Miami last year. Melo was a well below average player. These are not good enough big forwards. Maybe they go smaller again.

G: Westbrook
G: Ellington, Monk
F: Bazemore
F: LeBron, Melo, Ariza
C: AD, Dwight

Does their coach even know how to coach small-ball?

I don't like Melo or Ariza for this team. Bad fits.

Monk is a selfish gunner. He is going to steal a lot of shots from their stars if they give him big minutes but he is far and away their best perimeter jump-shooter.

Ellington and Bazemore are semi-reliable.

Thinking this is the oldest team in league history? There center rotation is a combined 70 years old between gasol and howard. Will be interesting to see how well this teams holds up through injuries in the coming season. Given their last season was derailed by injuries loading up on a bunch of 35 year’s olds seems like an interesting approach.

Lakers need more guys who can defend & shoot. Bazemore is the only one and he ain't exactly setting the world on fire these past few years. All the others are one-way players. Either all-offense or all-defense.

Lakers look weak. Not seeing it. Not seeing a title contender. Supporting cast is nowhere near good enough. They have the stars but the stars do not have the help they need to get it done.

Best forward on their team after LeBron if AD is playing center. Important signing for LA. They needed THT. They needed him badly.

And look how cheap they are getting them for. Hometown discounts for LeBum for sure.
