Hopefully we get at least 2 good vets on the bench..tired of all the d-leaguers & rookies every year

I think that this year is one of the deepest classes for vet-min free agents in years.  We didn’t have a lot of solid options to supplement the bench.  This year we should.

Bucks signed Bobby Portis for two years @ $3.6 mm/ 3.8 mm.  They are so smart getting those deals done.

What happened to Marvin Williams? Did he retire?

Yes Marvin Williams retired.

Batum would be a fantastic bench addition. I think he gets an above vet min deal to stay with the Clippers though.

If we could trade Smart for a PG upgrade then I would give Kris Dunn a hard look. He'd be a great defensive, transition PG off the bench. However, him and Smart on the floor together, while defensively brutal, would be a nightmare on offense.

PJ Tucker is a person I've always wanted on my side but I can't see him leaving the Bucks.

I also like Torrey Craig, Kent Bazemore, JaMychal Green, or Bryn Forbes for deep bench slots.

I was amazed at how little vet min talent there was last off-season and how quickly it went off the board. That compressed offseason made things hugely difficult in filling out one's bench.

Nice to see normal service resumed with good end of rotation & 3rd string talent available for minimum contracts again this summer.

There is also going to be a huge influx of talent with this very deep draft. Some of these guys who go undrafted this year are going to be solid role players. We should de able to pick up two high-level shooters or defenders and hopefully guys who can do both.

"Michael Beasley attempts NBA comeback"

He'd be cheap.

Redundant to Parker...

Justice Winslow = versatile wing with playmaking skills. Could be available if Memphis decided to decline his option.

Patty Mills = Solid veteran PG with championship experience. Have connection with our new coach so he might fit in with our direction

Gary Trent Jr. = Another solid 3&D player. Averaged 16ppg last season.

If Thompson is loved and Edwards can be cleared off cap I could see a Patty Mills,J Green, J Winslow offseason

If Boston uses Mo Brown or Timelord in a trade, Nerlens Noel for the taxpayer MLE is good by me.

Reggie Bullock or T.J. McConnell, if they haven't outpriced themselves, would be good but think they probably have.

I'm kinda talking myself into Smart as our starting PG, I kinda really want to test that out as his primary role coming into the season and work with that. I keep telling myself, "what if it works offensively?" wouldn't he then just be the best choice? I prefer a surer thing, but I keep coming to that.

Patty Mills....another player who never misses a shot against us...but as soon as WE get him, he misses.

I’d like him, to help teach others the Spurs system.  But I suspect he sticks around.

Shooters off the bench are important.
