Didnt the Pacers players gang up on Nate Bjorkgren and ultimately got him fired?

This is interesting about Carlisle.  So is the assumption that he knew he was getting the Pacers job when he stepped down from Dallas?

Has he ever done a good coaching job? Always below par.

I know Dallas likes to hire people they know. Hire from within the organization. So a former player like Kidd has extra value to them. But they are playing with fire there with Luka Doncic. They gotta get their act together before he starts questioning whether that organization can fulfill his title dreams.

I suspect he ll be a LAker one day ,   Mark Cuban has his work cutout to retain him ,  some radial measures or gifts maybe used as bait by both organizations.  Will be a soap opera.

I think he did ok in Brooklyn.  I mean Milwaukee traded 2 2nd rounders to acquire him, but he was a disaster for the Bucks.

Back to Indiana.

One of the underrated What-Ifs of NBA history is what happens if the Malice at the Palace never happens? The Pacers won 61 games in '04. They started the '05 season 7-2 including what was kind of a statement game against the defending champion Pistons before that fight broke out.

Maybe that Indy team was too combustible and never would've worked out but if they could've kept it together who knows how far they could've gotten.

I've wanted Carlyle back in Boston for a long time but I'm happy with Udoka.
