Don't know if a reliable source, but would not be surprised if they traded him this off-season. Probably depends on return and KD's blessing.

What?

What's this "pause" about?

Back in January Kyrie needed a "pause".

Seems like old news?

I’m not sure I buy this.  They undoubtedly are frustrated by his flakiness, but they also were a Kyrie ankle roll from a probable championship.

If they continue to win, they’ll put up with him.

In the end, does it matter? It's all about KD and keeping him happy.

It matters.  There’s a balancing test, because KD can’t win on his own.

I'm just saying that whether a player gets moved or not will depend on KD... that ownership is tired of Kyrie I don't see all that newsworthy particularly if it's a small incident as the one reported many months ago. The only thing I can see though is their willingness to move him, but to move him for another star player which KD would approve of.

Now if you told me there was dysfunction in the locker room... now that would be a more interesting problem to read about.

PBS might.

He could host a science show about going to the ends of the earth to find premium sage. :)

The "Pause" he took was to force management into the Harden trade. I knew this back then.
Larry Bird was Greater than you think.

If Durant wore the correct size shoes they would be the heavy favorites to win the title right now.

They don't need Irving and Harden, and Harden is a significantly better player.  If it was only about basketball, they'd trade Irving and better fill in the depth around Durant and Harden.  The depth they gave up when they acquired Harden to begin with.

Clippers and Knicks seem like teams that would be very interested in Irving.

If I were Brooklyn I would 100% flip him, he's too unreliable with his injuries and his mental make-up for the Nets with their limited window
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

After his history of flaking out in CLE/BOS/BRK, who would be willing to fork up real assets for Kyrie at this point? He’s a talented player but dude has some serious BAGGAGE. Think any time would seriously think hard about trading for him.

Clippers and Knicks would I think.  Not that they have great assets to trade, but they'd certainly trade what they could.

The Clippers for example could do something like Mann, Zubac, Morris, Beverley for Irving, Jordan.  The Nets then re-sign Dinwiddie

Dinwiddie, Harden, Harris, Durant, Zubac - Green, Claxton, Griffin, Morris, Mann, Shamet, Beverley

That is pretty clearly a title contender and has a lot more depth to withstand the load management of Harden and Durant.

There'd be suitors. Nobody is untradeable in the NBA.

Heck, John Wall got traded
