Keeping this simple, I am going to list out my very basic frame work predictions for the moves that we are about to see BS make.

1. Kemba is combined with the #16 pick to either the Bulls or Clippers for a combination of decent players in a cost savings move. ex Kemba + #16 to LAC for Beverly, Kennard, and #25 or Kemba +#16 to Bulls for Young, Satoransky, and #40   (might not check out via trade machine but its a basic frame work)

2. Fournier is not retained but instead a S&T is worked out to create another large TPE

3. Smart is retained this off-season but is likely moved at the deadline

- Agree re: Fournier ... somebody will offer him a dumb contract.  Don't know if they'll create another TPE, given their tax situation a TPE is not that useful.

- I'm doubtful that Smart gets traded simply because I think it will be really difficult to justify moving him for what they're likely to get in return, which is not that much.  Does it makes sense to trade a franchise icon / team-culture centerpiece for a late 1st rounder or a lesser role player?

I've gone back and forth on Smart getting moved; in other places I've predicted that he's gone. I really don't know what to think. It feels like he's the most obvious player to get traded but also the hardest one to trade because of what he means to the team versus what he's likely to fetch in a deal.

- That said if the team is having another muddled, up-and-down season next year, I could see them trading Smart for a protected pick at the trade deadline.

- Tristan Thompson will be traded, either as a cost-cutting salary dump or as a swap for another role player on a similar deal who is a better fit (my favorite idea is to trade him for Plumlee).

- I think they're going to find some way to trade Kemba. It's hard to think of plausible scenarios, but my gut instinct is that they will trade him.  I don't think people will like the return, though, or the price. My prediction is that either Rob Williams or Romeo Langford will be included in that trade, and the Celts won't be getting back anybody exciting or who figures to stick around beyond next season.

- Bold prediction - everybody from the now infamous 2019 draft class will be on other teams / out of the league by the start of next season.

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Not much will change.

Agreed.

Same here -- the team has little flexibility to make significant changes so most changes will be small and have only a minor impact.

This is a time for patience and letting the young role players grow in order to build up enough trade assets so that they can reenter the trade market in the future and a make a splash then. They just do not have the assets to do so right now.

Too limited right now. It'll just be musical chairs - changing arrangements of things, not improving them.

My counter would be that Stevens seems to acknowledge that the team has lacked a "spark."  Although I think that bringing in a new coach (perhaps one who is more of a motivator than a tactician) will help, as will simply giving the players a long off-season to rest and recover, I expect that Stevens will want to shake things up a bit in terms of the roster mix in the hopes that the Celts can recapture some of their old "scrappy underdog" persona.

What I definitely would agree with is that I don't expect the roster to improve in terms of overall talent, and in fact I expect this to be another summer where we see more talent go out the door than come back in.

The hope has to be that they find some more polished / experienced players who complement Tatum and Brown better; that they get healthy and overall stay healthier during next season; and that the new group of players can find that "spark" and hopefully some attitude that the 2021 Celtics lacked.

I could see either trading Kemba for depth pieces (something along the lines of the LAC and CHI trades discussed) OR trading Smart for a comparably talented big but not both.

I predict that Fournier is likely resigned although an outgoing S&T is not out of the question.  We have to take something back in most cases for that to work so it doesn't mean we get a straight up TPE.  There are not that many teams that could sign and absorb him or if they could, no need to sign and trade.  For example, if the Knicks decide they want Fournier, they can just sign him.

Beyond that, I don't see much else changing nor do I see a need to change things.  We have a good core, not perfect but good.  We need some skilled size and that is where some combination of Smart, Kemba, and Fournier (S&T) will be used to try and get a big.  It won't be easy.

Kemba + #16 for Satoransky + Thad Young + Aminu works in trade machine.  I think that's an interesting idea.

I'd be reasonably pleased to go into next season with this core, along with use of bird rights/exceptions/veterans to fill out or improve the team where needed/possible:

PG: Smart / Pritchard / Satoransky
SG: Jaylen / Romeo
SF: Tatum / Nesmith
PF: Thad Young / Aminu / Grant Will
C: Rob Williams / TT / Kornet

I'm expecting Pritchard, Romeo, Nesmith, and Rob to all (or most) make improvements in their game that help us rise to being better than last season.  Expecting some small improvements from Jaylen and Tatum too.

Higher prices, higher taxes and a whole lot of teleprompter reading.  Probably some sleazy stuff going on with his son.

Oh...  You were talking about a different President BS?  ;)
