I want Billups or Cassell. I like the idea of bringing in a former player.

I would put down $25 on both Hammon and Howard.  The odds just seem to undervalue them.

I think the only reason Howard's odds aren't higher is that he's coaching one son at Michigan and his second (who's a top 50 prospect with NBA ambitions) is expected to join him in 2022.  He might not be on the NBA job market until 2024, when the older son graduates and the younger son leaves for the pros.

And both of them are Lue disciples, so they're on the top of my list among assistant coaches alongside the Nurse tree of ACs.

Howard has done a good job with Michigan

I also think team could consider Stackhouse

He "found" ways to score/impact as a player. Not the biggest/most athletic guy. Tough player that didnt shy away from physicality

Done a good job with Vanderbilt

Isn't the Indy coach from the Nurse tree of AC's? Based on what's been reported about him, I need to see more from the Nurse line.

Mark Jackson and Van Gundy aren’t going to give up their cushy, broadcasting jobs for the NBA grind of coaching.

I wouldn't be against Van Gundy.

Looking at some of the Knicks teams he coached you certainly can't say they were soft.

Give me Howard, Hammond, Billups, or Cassel.

Please do not consider Jackson, Kidd, or Lloyd...

Really not liking any of these options. I suddenly appreciate Brad a lot more...Just wish we surrounded him with better assistants.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.
