Glad the series is tied and the teams are relatively well matched, but from a talent perspective, is this not the worst NBA Finals in years upon years? I don't remember two worse teams...

How is the sensational block of all time not a goal tending?
How could it have been? It was on a dunk attempt and didn't look above the cylinder anyway

I don’t know the rule…so I asked the question. Ayton gathered the pass over his head and swung it downwards for a dunk before Giannis tipped it out ….what is the goal tending rule?
You can't goaltend on a dunk, because if you could every dunk would technically be offensive interference.

lol at all the Cs fan rooting for Giannis to win. These were the same fans telling Ainge to wait for LeBron to leave before the Cs made a push. I guess the Cs will have to wait for Giannis to be done before they make a push. How old is Giannis again?

Go Suns.
The Bucks have a good, but not great team around Giannis.  However, if they don't win this year or next year the liklihood of Giannis asking out increases significantly and if he does that he will almost certainly team up with a real legit top 5 to top 10 talent.  If that happens, Boston will not win a title until Giannis retires.  If the Bucks win though, then Giannis really has no reason to leave and Milwaukee can't really upgrade Middleton or Holiday, so the Bucks will be beatable.  Tough, but not unbeatable.

If Cleveland wasn't so incompetent then Lebron never goes to Miami and the conference would have been much more wide open.

Have you ever thought that Giannis could move to Cs if he fails in MIL….or that other stars might join him in MIL?  Giannis will be as satisfied with one ring as LeBron was when he got one.
He certainly could ask to go to Boston and Boston would have at least a decent offer.  But there are 28 other teams.  As for stars going to Milwaukee to play with Giannis, that is incredibly unlikely.  I mean Lebron couldn't even get his close friend Bosh to go to Cleveland and it isn't like Milwaukee has any young players or assets that a team would want for a superstar, even one asking out (and for NBA players there isn't much difference between Cleveland and Milwaukee).  Far more likely Giannis ends up in a place like Dallas to play with Doncic or teams up with someone in Miami or some place like that.

As for Lebron, he got 1 and then got another one the very next season.  It isn't like he had years in between them.  Lebron was also chasing Jordan.  For as good as Giannis is no one has ever put him in the class of greatest player of all time type talent.  In fact, you are already hearing that sort of talk with Luca yet not a peep about it with Giannis, despite the fact that Giannis is 26, has won 2 MVP's and a DPOY and is now 2 games away from a title (and Finals MVP).  And if the Bucks win, Giannis will be younger than Jordan, Lebron, and several other all time greats at their first title.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

Yeah. Injuries really left things wide open.

Officials really are terrible. It’s pathetic.

They also missed Giannis keeping one foot in bounds as he inbounded the ball during the last minute where they called that weak foul on the Chris Paul-Cam Johnson double team.  Giannis had one foot fully over the line the whole time.

So many bad calls tonight.

omg down the stretch there were multiple potential game-changing bad calls.
the NBA needs to really review that 4th quarter and do better.
The Booker no-call-wrap up in itself would have been his 6th foul.

It was shocking how bad it was.

It's also why team USA is struggling in international play. They are so used to getting away with everything and getting calls whenever they look at the refs that they just don't know how to play with normal officials anymore.

I totally agree with you. It's sad.

It was Lakers vs Celtics 2010 Bad! The first three quarters were ok but the fourth was an epic crap fest by the refs.

Giannis will not be satisfied with one ring. The dude was playing all out at the all-star game. He is very driven. He won’t even pal around with other stars in the off season.

Go Suns.

I can also see him staying in Milwaukee too long if he wins it this year. Can you imagine KG ever leaving Sota if he had won a ring at their peak? He was so loyal he would have never left. Giannis is pretty loyal as well.

Giannis is the best player in the world. Sure the team around him is only good and not great, but when your best player is better than everyone else he makes up for a lot.  The Suns are a very good team.  3 All NBA caliber players and a lot of strong role players around them.  The fact that they don't have an uber talent does hold them back some though

This is like every non-big market teams' fans' wish- two unhyped low-market teams battling each other in the Finals. Or what they call it a "boring" finals.

Suns and Bucks are very talented with some top tier players in Giannis, Booker, and Chris Paul. Maybe you confused how bad the refs have been with the quality of basketball? If so, I wouldn't blame you.

No he’s not. Maybe the most dominant force, but I’d take KD or a healthy Kawhi over Giannis every day of the week. Both guys are better two way players. Bucks wouldn’t have even gotten by Brooklyn If the Nets had 2 of their star players healthy.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

So you will take a ring chaser and a player that does not exist over Giannis…that is weird.
