All those that thought the league was just there for the Celtics to take now see that the other teams weren’t out there just waiting for the Jays to grow.

What's your point? Basically all the teams, Clippers aside, that are currently still playing are there with "home" grown talent and maybe a key addition here and there, but mostly through their player development.

So what? Teams get better, so will the Celtics.

lol, you wouldn’t have thought that reading some of those that argued Cs would take over the East after LeBron left.

Where? All I see are people bashing Kemba, Tatum and advocating trading Brown because of a "leadership issue."

I think prior to the 20-21 season. Or rather, prior to our team getting shredded by illness and injury
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

Injuries happen, and team with Lebron himself got knocked out due to this reason. Same with a loaded team like brooklyn.

This is a weird season and anyone who discount this is an idiot.

Could’ve sworn I read here that Brooklyn got injured because they were dysfunctional lol

But back on topic: many teams have gotten better, whether because of trades, FA’s or homegrown talent. More teams will get better soon too. Just because we made the ECF in years past is no guarantee that we’ll get there again and neither does it make us “king of the hill”.

It’s undeniable: C’s need to improve. I think swapping Kemba for Horford is a step in the right direction, even if Horford is older, slower, and less of a scorer.

Can anyone remember a playoffs more snakebitten? Giannis, Embiid, Young, Harden, JB, Kyrie, Conley, Mitchell, Murray, Kawhi, Porzingis, CP3 and AD have all had injuries of varying severity.

Am I missing anyone? That’s an absurd amount of injuries to star players, let alone to role players too.

I honestly can't remember, even going back to the 90s, having this many players get injured. Phoenix have probably been the luckiest, they got CP3 back after a couple of games.
Any odd typos are because I suck at typing on an iPhone :D

I saw a tweet, have no idea if true, that the most all stars to miss at least 1 playoff game before this season was 6.  There have already been 9 this season.  If Giannis misses game 5, he would be the 10th.  That doesn't even include players like Young that were not on the all star team or Lebron who played in all the Lakers games, but was clearly still hampered by his injury.

Speaking of the all star game, playing it this year was a mistake.  They should have just let the players have the time off to rest.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

From what I understand, viewership for the Playoffs has been pretty good. Not sure how much longer that's gonna last considering we're approaching the point where the mildly attentive fan may not know some of the dudes who are winning games now.

Per Woj, Giannis knee did not sustain any structural damage. Unclear on when he can return.

This is very good news.

Per Shams, doubtful for game 5:
