His last year in New Orleans he shot 2.6 per game.  He is at 2.8 this year.  He was gradually increasing that basically every year in N.O. as well, which has continued in L.A.  My guess is it is mostly because he is frail and keeps getting hurt so he gets hit less when he isn't in the paint as much.
