That was two bricks in a row by Bucks ….

Connerton wit the air ball  8)

The Hawks played it perfect ,   Fouled Giannis without giving him the easy bucket and one .

Giannis not good in certain situations.

Lol Bucks have to be the lowest BBIQ, most underachieving team in recent memory. Super, super lucky they even got past Brooklyn.

They are champs in my book just for eliminating the Nets. That was my main hope for these playoffs, to see Brooklyn and the Lakers out early.

Trae Young is a BEAST.

Are we sure the Mavericks robbed the Hawks? Doncic is phenomenal though Young is also really making a statement now. Hawks also built the team to fit Young's skillset and it's showing now and coming together.

I think you nailed it in your second bit. Atlanta built around Young much better than Dallas have around Doncic so far

The Hawks definitely concern me as a Celtics fan.  Is there hope for the C's to be better than these Hawks any time soon?

They're playing without DeAndre Hunter and Cam Reddish, who likely will improve a lot though he's started slow.  They have pick 20 to get a nice back up PG...

The Mavs gambled on Porzingis but so far he hasn't shown them much to be that second guy to Doncic.

I think they'll be fine, just gotta see what Stevens does in the offseason once the draft (as in making draft day deals.;) ) and free agency begins.

Wowww. Hawks steal game 1.
[dang]....

T-bone or Porterhouse?

T-Bone. Better flavor. What are you taking about, though?

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Phoenix is going to the Finals.  Was really looking forward to the Suns/Clips matchup too. Oh, well.... :P

Phoenix Suns guard Chris Paul listed as probable for Game 3; LA Clippers' Kawhi Leonard remains out-Per Espn

Such a bummer. Especially because there will undoubtedly people "putting an asterisk" next to Phoenix's name if they win.

Several teams (unfortunately) shot past the Celtics this season:

Hawks: 20-47 last season, at least ECF this season
Suns: 34-39 last season, at least WCF this season
Knicks: 21-45 last season, 41-31 and the No. 4 seed this season
Blazers: 35-39 last season, 42-30 this season

Granted, Boston had a LOT of injuries and covid-related absences, but they had plenty of non-health-related problems too. It stinks that these teams that were mediocre or terrible last season had an amazing one-season turnaround while the Celtics were thoroughly mediocre, even when they had most of their players available. Boston seems to be on a very slow, very incremental path.

I’m only slightly concerned.

Hawks - Celtics made the ECF plenty of times recently, and that’s as far as they went. The Hawks have no guarantees.
Suns - underperformed the year before and benefiting from injuries to get where they are this year.
Knicks - that’s fool’s gold.
Blazers - this is their ceiling.

I think Tatum is better than Trae and will continue to be. The Hawks don’t have anyone as good as Brown. We need the balance the Hawks have and some depth instead of G leaguers playing 7-10. The Hawks look like the 2020 Heat to me.

Not sure anyone put any asterisk on any title, include last year LBJ/Lakers buble title or Kawhi/Raptors ag a depleted Warriors team etc... On the opposite many would see it as one of the biggest exploit and the Hawks/Suns NBA FINAL as one of the biggest surprise ever.

Whatever, it is very good to follow again sport and his amont of surprise and emotions... The Suns/Clipps final yesterday followed by Euro soccer where Hungaria was very close to do one of the biggest exploit ever in a Euro in eliminating Germany at home with the 40th team in FIFA rank...
