Tatum Stat that needs massive improvement

By my count Tatum has not shown up to nearly 1/3 of the games played this season.

Out of the the 68 games the Celtics have played this year, and 61 Tatum payed in, he has left his shooting skills at home in at least 20 games.  his latest off night was the 3-15  in Chicago.

If you want to be your teams #1 scoring option, that cannot happen on almost weekly basis.
Or to phrase it differently, your team will not be very good if your top scorer has a very bad shooting night every 3.5 games.

Where’s the stat?  What’s truly terrible?

Let’s use below a .400 eFG% as a putrid night.

That has happened in 10 of 61 games.  So, not as bad as you were thinking, but seemingly not great.  Compounding that is the real stat I wish that he’d improve:  5.2 FTA.  That’s outside the top 30.  Same thing with JB, but worse.

I surmise he can't. Too many base opinions on Boston sports radio narratives that aren't actually supported by gameplay. I think it's gonna be really funny if he does end up requesting a trade and all the folks now crapping on him go into handwringing mode.

This for me is the biggest disappointment. How can you not show up on a big game like this? I mean don’t you even want to avenge the previous loss? I hope I’m wrong but he doesn’t have the qualities (yet?) to be a franchise player.

Why would you use FG%?  If Tatum shoots 40% from 3PT he’s doing his job.
