Turnovers killing this run.

Also why are we helping off of White?

Our help defense has been busted all year.  One of the most frustrating things about this season for me.

Same, it's very difficult to watch.  Our defensive communication seems broken and it often looks like our players are clueless when they should rotate or whom to rotate to.

Maybe it's because we don't pratice enough that emphasizes on defense with the tight schedule and injuries to everybody .

Jason and Marcus killed us tonight.  0 for 11 from 3s.

if this is how being a fan has affected you, you might want to step away from the celtics for just a bit.

When we don't hit shots we don't play hard!

That too, which is obviously very unfortunate.  It's one of the reasons I'm a big fan of players like Smart - they play hard and can influence the game regardless of their offensive performance.  In Smart's case his defensive impact is diminished this year (or it seems like it, I haven't looked at advanced stats) and he's making a lot more boneheaded plays on offense.  So even he's been tough to watch.

Just a frustrating year.

Welp, classic inconsistent performance by this years C’s. You can blame some of this year’s struggles on the health and injuries, but there’s a lot of other blame to go around, much of which is on the coaching staff.

Honestly, at this point I’m hoping we drop to the 8th spot. Of the top three in our conference, I think Philly is the best chance to beat, followed by Milwaukee abd Brooklyn a distant third. I still don’t buy Philly as a legitimate threat, as I think in the playoffs Joel won’t get as much love from the refs and will be able to be gameplanned for over a series.

Granted - all this is based on the premise of staying fully healthy, which seems a long shot.

Hmm... other than 1-2 miscues which seems to regularly happen to guys like Nesmith, Jabari, and even JB, the communication seems to be there.

But on the other hand, idk why when the team doubles, the man doubling usually comes from the guy who’s just one pass away. That makes it fairly easy to pass out of the double team and get our entire defense in rotation.

Really? The other teams play under different conditions?

Nah, that's normal.  You can double from the guy one pass away.

The problem is that then you have to ROTATE.  This is where the idea of a defense "being on a string" comes from - one guy helps, the next guy goes and gets his man, and so on.  We don't do that nearly well enough.  We help once, and then leave that next man open for a great shot.  And it's not like it's just one guy doing this - the whole team is guilty, including guys like Smart and Tatum who have been thought of as defensive standouts in the past.

It's frustrating.

Oh oh Jay Williams calling out Brad on espn studio show.

What’d he say?

He said Celtics had a problem with Kyrie but now Kyrie is gone but there seems to be something always wrong with the team, and then suggested that maybe Brad should be scrutinized (my words)..

Later he went on to say they play to much ISO ball...that they lead the league in ISO ball..no fluidity in offense.

Jaylen Rose was also harsh in his criticism ...no production at the 5 spot...lead the league in falling behind by 10 points...always start slow..and have fallen into the bottom tier while sixers bucks are riding high.

I wonder what the team would look like if Ainge had saddled up and parted with one of his precious, precious draft picks and gotten Vucevic. He is EXACTLY what the Celtics need - he plays strong position defense and protects the paint (notice how Tatum got nothing at the rim tonight), is a willing passer and a knockdown shooter. If we had him instead of Kemba I think we'd be up at the top of the Eastern conference. But instead we get to watch Tristan 'Mittens' Thompson fumbling passes and throwing up flat hook shots. Ugh.

It’s ok to be annoyed and critical of a team. This team is incredibly underachieving and it’s hard to watch these games sometimes because you know they are capable of better. Maybe they just aren’t capable of being better I guess. Doesn’t make it any less frustrating watching them in your leisure time.
