Kemba’s been playing very well the last few games. Just wish he would stop shooting so many 3’s. Last 10 games he’s 29% from deep... :-\

Quoting Nick from the now locked Ime thread:

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Jabari got his but how much of Tatum’s and Walker’s points came from the fact that Jabari was in the game and had to be accounted for.
Most likely none.

I disagree
That's fair. It still doesn't change the fact you're wrong.

Go back and watch the game again. GSW weren't playing Parker close. When Parker was in the corners, the Warriors played way off him. When he screened up top, the Warriors jumped and attempted doubles on the ball handler. Most of Jabari's points were from offensive putbacks because the Warriors weren't putting bodies on him.

Kemba and Tatum had great games and got their's but it was due to them overcoming some good defense, not because Jabari's gravity was opening space up for them to get open. That simply wasn't happening.

I don’t know how a basketball fan can’t enjoy Curry.  He’s so great and is obviously having so much fun playing.

The last shot he hit from the corner off-balance with Grant Williams all over him was outrageous. Are you serious? How does he hit that?

Either way, Jabari's 11 points in 13 minutes was a much needed huge boost tonight. Really looking forward to what our bench can do with both him and Fournier

Yeah, it was really enjoyable to watch him play, and I love seeing our guys battle against the best in the league.

The most pleasing thing about this run is the fact that it looks like we're starting to develop some resilience, as we approach the business end of the season:

vs Knicks - played bad, shot 40% but eked out a win
vs T-Wolves - survived OT, needed 53 from JT but won
vs Denver - played terrible for 3 quarters but switched it on in the 4th at the start of a road trip to blow them out
vs Portland - Portland pushed us all the way but we closed it out
vs Fakers - blew them out early but then our 3rd string nearly gave it away, suffered the embarrassment of putting our starters back in but held on
vs Dubs - survived a ridiculous game from Steph while missing 3 key players including Jaylen

We need these kinds of wins where we play bad or survive an incandescent performance from someone on the other team but still win. In a way I value these wins more than the blowouts, because these are the character building wins where you are physically and mentally challenged but can still pull out a victory despite not playing well.
Any odd typos are because I suck at typing on an iPhone :D

There is way more to basketball than that. Parker is a legitimate scoring threat in the NBA if that is not on the minds of GSW they are not doing their jobs. You had low expectations for JP. 11 points in 15 minutes is no joke.

Yup, his 11 points were sorely needed and important. I just don't see a reason to make stuff up to try to make it appear more important.

Tatum with 44 in a big win, and who's on the front page of ESPNs website? Curry of course.

With the Bucks losing tonight to the Grizzlies, we're now only 4.5 games out of the 3rd seed.

That's frustrating. As a huge Brown fan, I see ESPN always favoring reporting on what Tatum did in the game, even if Brown was the better more important player.

Brown went for 40 against LA and ESPN had three small video snippets of the game...a JB play and two JT plays. That's typical of ESPN's coverage of the Celtics, detail everything Tatum did and gloss over or ignore what other players are doing, even if they play better than Jayson.

Yeah, excellent point. Brown is widely under appreciated by the media, especially ESPN.  He's like the second class citizen of the second class citizens the way the Celtics as a whole are snubbed.

I've seen rumblings about the reason behind this - none of them were pretty. At all.

It's part of why I love this crew. Keep working hard JB, JT, Smart. Keep on keepin' on.

Let's give some respect for Juan Toscano Anderson for literally knocking himself out diving into the scorers table for the loose ball late in the 4th. That was nuts.
