Kemba has been held out of playing back-to-back games all season, sometimes to the detriment of the team. He starts and plays 30 minutes one game, then sits the next.

I am not a sports physiologist, but feel like it would be better for the team and Kemba, if he played restricted minutes every game instead of extended minutes every other game.

15-20 minutes every game as a starter. I don’t think he needs to be a 6th man just yet. Maybe every other game was the right call before the All-Star game, but going forward I think it would be better for team chemistry and Kemba’s shooting rhythm for him to play more often while still respecting that he needs to rest his knee.

What would you like to see? Besides trading him to the Knickerbockers?

Looks like they have 4 more back-to-backs, so at this point, might as well finish it out.

Only four more games, who cares.

Personally, I think it is ridiculous. I get it early on in the season but Cs need these games now. With Fournier now on the roster though, it might not be as big an issue as it was before.

It’s about being ready for the playoffs. It makes sense. It is a high usage injury.

The team is a losing streak away from being out of the playoffs lol.

Yeah, it’s gonna be supremely ironic—and funny—if they do all this to “save Kemba for the playoffs” and then they miss the playoffs.

Don’t think it’s just to save Kemba for the playoffs.  It’s also to keep him playable for the next two seasons.

Also, missing the playoffs is not funny as a C’s fan in my book.

And a winning streak from home court advantage first round of playoffs.

I’d rather him sit the second game of a back to back. Let’s see how Fournier looks with the starting unit and it will allow Romeo to get more burn. Sign me up for that.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

They had a plan and they are sticking with it. As others have mentioned, it is only four more games, so hopefully it shouldn't affect us too much. Having Fournier will really help since he is a legit scorer. Look at last night, Tatum and Kemba were awful in the 1st half, but they still led by 15 because Fournier was tearing it up with Brown. Then Tatum and Kemba came alive in the 2nd half and we blew it open.

Fwiw, I think Kemba can play in segababas, but they are just being careful with him. I am super-happy that he appears to be healthy and that the procedure worked!

Exactly. So why wouldn’t they play Kemba to secure that? It seems pretty stupid to risk missing the playoffs over considering the guy just has arthritis and can play through it. I get him resting in February. But this is the final stretch in the season. They need to win games.

Speaking of load management, I’m annoyed that it seems kemba will sit against the sixers on Tuesday and play against the knocks.  Is this a give up signal?

Why don’t you stick to the plan at least?

It's not a great signal, but two close losses aren't as good as one loss and one win. Also, we have no chance of catching the Sixers; but going ahead of the Knicks can help us get the 4th seed and HC advantage.
