32 minutes and 0 points for Evan Fournier? Wow so much for him being our savior.

Even Luke Kornet is outperforming him.

When your three guards shoot 14 -43. EF, Kemba and Smart shoot 14-43.
Unfair throwing Kemba in there. 8-18 isn't bad, though his three pointer wasn't falling. 6-25 from Smart and Fournier is terrible. No need to embellish. 😉😁

Can The NBA just tell you when the refs are just going make sure you lose the game so I can do something else with my night. The two minute report will let us know how much we got screwed so I have that to look forward too. Remember when they tried to have ref full game reports but it shoed how bad the refs were so they stopped it after like a couple of games. Why even do the two minute report. It's just an insult. It doesn't change the game and there's not penalty for the refs.

2-9 for Kemba from 3 is horrid.

Smart has some blame for the shaqtin a fool play plus bricking 3 after

But the problem was Fournier

Brad should have stopped going back to him. Tonight was not his night

When will Brad understand  .. sometimes its not these players nights

Brad probably didn’t want to destroy Fourniers confidence and his teammates confidence in him by yanking him on debut. Then he might ruin him for the rest of the season, not just tonight.

Honestly I thought he was going to start the game. Benching him probably put more pressure on him as he’s used to starting games.

I was thinking the same. Smart needs to come off the bench.

pelicans are loaded to the gill with top talent

it’s gonna get harder and harder to beat them

If they stay healthy, they're a serious problem.  I still question whether Zion's body holds up.  But the dude is a monster.  I thought we defended him reasonably well tonight and the dude still put 28 on 50% shooting on us.  His ability to carve space and finish around the basket is incredible.  Everybody knows what he wants to do on the court but nobody can stop him from doing it.

Duke ....sucks without Zion. LOL

"Smart led two separate comebacks while also missing shots throughout and heaving an inexplicable half-court shot as New Orleans’ shot clock expired. Evan Fournier debuted 0-for-10 from the field."

This an interesting take from Celtics blog. Smart led no comebacks. a comeback is when you come back and win not lose by 6.

Yeah but he was 6-9 from two which is terrific. He scored 23 points on 18 shots. That's very good efficiency.

Kemba wasn't a problem tonight.

He wasn't the problem but if your shooting well from 2 and bad from 3 maybe shoot more twos.

Pelicans are a much better team then their record indicates. They beat the Clippers by 20 a few games ago and both Kawhi and PG13 did play. I’d like to see Zion in the playoffs this year.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

The question is why is Fournier getting 32 minutes when he's so off? I know Brad will say we need Fornier to win. He always says that when he force feeds minutes to someone having a horrid game. Pritchard should had 10 more shots and 15 more minutes. We need Pritchard to win too. See that last game.

It’s one game, man. He literally hasn’t had a single practice with the team and there was a very good chance that he wasn’t even going to play tonight due to contact tracing. Maybe give him a few games to acclimate?

He had maybe one bad three. The rest were within the flow of the offense. You want Kemba taking those threes.

I thought Kemba had a good game, not even close to the complete no show of Fournier or the brain dead game Smart had.

But if you want to group Kemba's play in with Smart and Fournier....be my guest.

I don't blame Fournier I blame Brad forcing minutes to someone who isn't playing well and not playing players who are. Pritchard, Nesmith, and Kornet combine for 8-16 from the field in 36 minutes and Fournier was 0-10 in 33 minutes. That seems like a coaching issue to me.

Smart and Fournier got 71 minutes between them and shot 6-25.
