Who are we cutting if we sign a buyout player?  Since Tacko and Waters are on 2 way contracts I don’t believe waiving either one will open a 15 man roster spot.

Speculation in the media was Green Kornet.

That would stink just as everyone was warming up to him.  Lol If that happened at least he helped us get at least 1 win.

I would think that who the C’s get in a buyout would have some influence on who gets cut.  If C’s had signed Drummond, Kornet would have been a logical choice. But if C’s could manage to get Otto Porter maybe they keep Kornet.  Can’t teach 7’2”.

I have to wonder when last time Kornet hit 2 straight 3’s.  Not exactly a prolific or particularly good 3-point shooter.

The fact that he can hit them will stretch the floor. He seems streaky to me. But I think he's been around 30% from 3. That's what makes him a bench guy and not a starter. In New York he had it up to 35%. With the Celtics he's shooting 66% from 3 so far so I hope he can maintain that.  ;D

And now Drummond in the lakers. Hopefully in 2/3 yeas we will be the superteam who benefits of this old stars buyout signing. The time is not now.

Or maybe they gave up on Drummond after seeing Robert Williams. ;)

Even Kornet last night was more impactful to winning than Drummond.

With Dieng off the board, unless Porter is bought out I’d either take Cousins for insurance or just roll with what we have.

Meh on Austin Rivers. Maybe Rivers from a few years ago. He's not a very effective scorer off the bench and honestly seemed less aggressive over the last year or two, which was always one of his best qualities.

I'm hoping Porter gets bought out. I'd want Olynyk too.

#Celtics expected to consider signing DeMarcus Cousins after missing out on Andre Drummond, source tells @HoopAnalysisNet. Would be solid front-court depth behind Robert Williams.

I posted about Cousins earlier. Injuries have ruined him but he’d be a decent backup, especially with his passing ability/ability to space the floor.

Low risk high reward to sign him to a min contract.

I think cousins  is a much better fit then drum.  The Cs need a player who can help score and rebound.  Cousins is fully capable of playing 25mpg as the backup PF and C and can even play in a big lineup.  I hope he kept himself in shape.  Having a scorer in the post will help the rest of the team so [dang] much when they get in those late game doldrums.

boogie stats were awful in Houston, keeping Kornet might be a better option

I guess this would be disappointing in comparison with Otto Porter, but it would be interesting  how much the C’s will have transformed the Center position in a week.  Add a 6’10, 6’11, and 7’2” guy while starting a dynamic young 6’8” guy.   I suppose one of Mo, Kornet or TT would be gone if Cousins is signed.

Boogie was really bad in January, and pretty good in February.

Maybe he just needs to play surrounded by winning talents around him, and not severe losing talents/players around him.

Sign me up for Cousins!
