Toronto has traded Norm Powell to Portland for Gary Trent and Rodney Hood, sources tell ESPN.

Hours left to go.  It is not a quiet trade deadline.

Good trade for Toronto. Trent has a lot of upside as a shooter. Lowry to the Sixers is next for them I would think.

I think 11, but I'm quickly losing count.

Trent is only 22 and averaging 15 a game since stepping in for the injured CJ McCollum. I think this is good for both sides.

If Powell takes a little bit of the pressure off of Lillard and CJ having to do literally everything for that team, then that would help Portland a lot.  Good deal for them.

Trent can hit threes but does nothing else.  Powell is better from three this year, is a better overall offensive player in general, and is at least within a stone's throw of average on defense... which Trent is not.

Great trade for Portland

Will be only if they can resign Trent Jr. imo

Honestly think this is way better for Toronto. I don't see Powell substantially better than Trent, plus Trent is a younger player with more upside.

Agreed. Hood for some reason took a step back this season

Trent Jr. will be a UFA after this season.  If Raptors can lock him up

this is a good trade for them

My boss agrees, but I don't think she's got the exact same idea as you.

How many more stops do you think Hood has in his NBA career?

0. His last stop will be in China the way he’s been playing. I see it as a good thing that two players who have regressed the most in the league are Hood and Gary Harris - it makes the fact that Danny passes on both guys for James Young sting just a little less.
