Something that bugged me about the end of the Bucks game and I wanted to clarify if anyone else agrees?

After Theis missed that shot for the win, no one seemed to care! I’m not implying negativity or that the team should be angry at Theis. What I’m eluding to, is the team looked happy how close they got...that for me is everything that is wrong with this team. There is a lack of fire, intensity and aggression in this squad.

Go watch the last second clip and watch the teams individual reactions. Tatum almost has no reaction at all, almost like a 2K player. The bench guys were actually smiling, some actually laughed and Smart clapped like good job guys.

Am I the only one that thinks this?

I've said this many times. They don't look mad when they lose they look like it's fine. Bird hated to lose, Pierce hated to lose, KG hated to lose, Russell hated to lose. Every great Celtic hated to lose but these guys seem fine with it.

Perhaps you’re right.

But guys like Phil Jackson were usually very ‘zen’, I think it’s has more to do with the leadership group. Tatum reminds me of Kawhi Leonard in that he’s an elite talent but not a leader, Brown isn’t a super vocal guy and Kemba seems almost too nice.

I remember Ryen Russillo saying a while ago he noticed how Harden elbowed Theis in the stomach (of course the refs did nothing) and while Theis was on the ground, the Celtics players just all got back on defence like nothing happened. Russillo couldn’t believe no one stood up for Theis or have a go at Harden. I can only imagine what KG would have done let alone Perkins or Tony Allen.

Why get mad if you lose? I mean it's more important how you look and that you belong to the "in crowd" and not ruffle any feathers. Everybody is buddy buddy and time to go count my money now. Why do they give bro shakes and taps after missing a free throw? It's not okay. If you miss don't slap my hand. If you make it yes.

Phil Jackson was intense with a lot of swag. He had full control of the team, and even wooed a part owner of the team.

Remember the love fest for Kyrie after he lit them up for about 40 pts? They literally stood in line to hug him. That was weird.

Honestly coming close against the Bucks is a major victory given what this squad has done the last couple of months.

Agreed. We need a goon or at least a though teammate.

It's the opposite of a victory.

I keep seeing these types of posts and it makes me laugh. Let's look at Kemba in particular - people get upset in the game threads when he smiles because we're losing. When Kyrie was here and he sulked or called out guys after losses, he was a cancer and headcase.

Basically, fans just want something to be mad at in losses. No matter how guys react or don't react, they're going to crap.

No but show something and especially don’t laugh.

For me it was obvious they were quite happy they got close. This also isn’t just one loss, the team is under .500 after going to the Conference Finals. If you go back and look at KG, LeBron, Jordan, Kobe if they went on a losing run you could see the disgust in their face. I could see Grant Williams smiling under his mask. I’d say Giannis would be more disappointed with how he played after his team won then the Celtics guys did after losing.

I usually don’t overreact to things, especially after losses, you’ll almost never see me rant on here about firing people or trading the team, but this was something that is very troubling for me because even if you have the most talented team without a general competitive drive, this iteration of Celtics core won’t win anything.
