The offense was okay, the defense was not.

Kemba sitting on the floor after he thought he got fouled and giving Tucker an open corner 3 was really bad.

I am ready for Kemba and Smart to go...there I said it.
I like both of them, they are good guys, but we can't win when they are playing like this.

They’re just getting out-hustled at this point.

That was the worst part of the half. Middleton hit some shots and they just went into a shell.

Was there a play there at the end?

Yeah.  It was watching Tatum try to drive around a double-team and then hoist up an awkward runner-floater-thing at the end of the shot clock.

Brilliant basketball, really.  Bet other teams will be looking to steal that play.

And a simple extra pass would have gotten JB an open three at the corner. Instead we get one of those circus shots against traffic.

Every game that this team plays I feel more and more confused as to why I ever thought this team was good.

I think the truth of it is that even when the best guys are on the floor together -- guys we saw make a deep playoff run last year -- basically every one of them at this point is at like 70-75% of what they used to be.

Kemba - Knee
Smart- Calf
Tatum - COVID
Jaylen - Knee
Theis - Refs

They aren't the same players right now.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

How many years has Marc Davis reffed a slanted game against the Celtics and the league does nothing?
Is there an analytics stat or NBA Fitbit that measures how many steps of moving screens the Bucks will get away with tonight?

But Jaylen already got his allotment of shots in the 1st quarter.  No matter what we can't pass to the guy who is hot.

At this point in the season it just seems that the players don’t care anymore. There’s no energy nor fight whatsoever.

When was the last time any Celtics player drove to the basket, dunked it, and got fouled??

Every other team goes to the hot hand but not The Celtics.

He's always horrid. Always. Nothing ever done.

we evidently only look at stats for past games.  for such a data driven coaching system, wouldn't we just once try to find the man who is shooting well?

I don't understand why Brown was ignored in the 2nd quarter.

These guys can't blame this pathetic performance on Thompson tonight. He's not even playing.
