That's not what KOC said. On the Mismatch podcast, he said Tristan isn't well liked in the locker room. Team brought him in to be a leader but he won't stop going out which puts him in health & safety protocols.

Perhaps we should double check sources before rushing to start a thread.

If this is true, I would assume that the obvious trade partner is the Raps(?). They lost Ibaka and Gasol during the offseason. Boucher is having a terrific season, but they need a Gasol replacement.

Fwiw, Thompson is a Toronto native.

He was our big free agent signing this summer and expected to come in as a locker room leader with championship experience and defensive toughness. He told everyone he was going to be the front court version of Marcus Smart. Instead, he came in out of shape, has been a defensive disappointment and now apparently a bad presence in locker room as an older dude who can't help himself from acting like a teenager by going out partying and breaking covid protocols.

Toronto's locker room may be bit combustible with Siakam cussing out Nurse last night. They may be looking for more high character players there.

I am skeptical of this sort of stuff and I generally like KOC.  No way anyone with the Cs FO leak this as it damages his trade value. Sounds like a rival GM trying to blow up a trade that TT is part of.
