At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Well, Smart helped the C’s make it to OT, but then costs them the game in OT. Brad, it’s very simple... Just tell Marcus that he isn’t allowed to shoot in the 4th. He’s a good passer, just needs to stop shooting. Cap him at 6-8 FG attempt a game and you're good.

I actually thought Smart played a good game overall, but he’s clearly still working himself back into shape after that long layoff. Looks slightly heavy.

He's always trying to do something tricky out there sometimes he just outsmarts himself. Sometimes keeping it simple is best.

At this point in his career is it safe to say we can stop deluding ourselves and recognize Smart will never learn?

Overall he had an OK game. Highest +/- on the team. Made some really bad decisions in OT, though.

Celtics are winless in B2B.   Or only one win?

I'm so tired of his bad decisions.

He thinks he’s a shooter and it’s Brads job to tell him that he’s not. Under no circumstance should he be taking 14 shots in a game.

I think that’s because he usually plays ok throughout a game. It’s just in close games when he suddenly sees himself as a go to scorer that he makes crazy decisions.

Smart's turnover to Slo Mo with about 3 minutes to go was a momentum killer. We were about to take the lead, and instead we go down two possessions, I think.  We scrambled back to get into OT, but had no gas.  It was both a really good defensive play and a careless offensive play.

Silver lining time... All star Teague showed up tonight. 26 pts, 6ast, shot 10-12 from the field and 2-2 from 3pt. Timelord had 17 pts which may be a career high? Played 28 minutes which has to be close if not a career high. Some positives. If any starters go down, C’s are pretty much screwed, since 5 of their bench players don’t even belong in the NBA. That’s on Danny.

80 points in the paint. I would've given Tacko some minutes.

TIMELORD changed the floor and I believe Tacko would've too.

It would be really deflating when you either a) know you're a far superior offensive player than Smart, like Brown, or b) were having a monster game and making everything, like Teague, yet Smart continues to jack up shocking shots with no consequence.

The Memphis announcers were incredulous that the Cs stayed with the zone in the 3rd quarter, which allowed Memphis to drive with impunity several times in a row.  The lack of defense killed the Cs tonight-they played so well defensively yesterday...

I agree there can't be players on your roster that you can't or won't play. That just can't happen. Especially with how tough this seasons schedule is. It kept us out of the finals last year and it's killing us this year again.

Pritchard should be bringing that ball up in key moments as he's got the best handle on the team.
